In this episode you will hear us talk about:

    · Women are estimated to spend $180,000.00 USD more than men over the course of a lifetime due to the “Pink Tax”. · Why is it that we pay more for the exact same item than men do? · The “Hot Girl Hamster Wheel”. · Does women’s implicit acceptance of the Pink Tax perpetuate it? · The financial chasm that grows wider and wider between men and women over the course of a lifetime · Rage Against the Machine (just because we love this topic) · Do most women care more about impressing other women than men? And if so, is this a good or a bad thing!? · It’s time to start to ask for more equitable prices, systems, and processes from society.

As a longtime entrepreneur, with successful endeavors in the food, journalism and community-building sectors, she understands the reality and mentality of your team. • Today GMM sits down to chat about the ebb and flow of both money and energy. This is a great conversation that will really resonate with anyone who is feeling stuck or unproductive. Sometimes giving into the moment and slowing down can be the best route forward.

In this episode you will get an glimpse into our conversation around how:

We as humans don’t always lean into the human experience. Slowing down and re-charging your energy can actually be more productive than pushing on and burning out. Some “ebbs” are harder than others. Thinking sits opposite of action. We don’t always have unlimited energy and stamina – there is a counterbalance to everything in life. We all seek out community whether we are aware of it or not. You don’t have to be behind something 100% in order to move it forward. Having a firm set of values and a firm set of goals can help you build and steer your business to place that is aligned with what you truly want.

  • Today Jacqueline and Tessa sit down for an expansive conversation with Vanessa Eckstein – mother, lover, daughter, friend, poet and designer not to mention founder and principal of BLOK design. Vanessa is known for her passion for taking on initiatives that blend cultural awareness, humanity and a love of art to advance society and business alike. Vanessa shares the challenges and profound learning that come as a result of running your own business and the preconceptions that exist of women that inhabit the creative space.

In this episode you will get an glimpse into our conversation around how:

Why as humans we should all strive to be multi-dimensional. Economics and creativity are not mutually exclusive, but rather interconnected. Discomfort can lead to true creativity. There is a difference between cost and value. Finding freedom is the ultimate goal in business, life and finances. Rejecting failure as a concept can ultimately lead to success. The success of a business can’t be measured by growth. Listening to your gut - aka intuition can makes sense (even when that gut idea betrays logic and “rational” thinking).

Dive into this vulnerable conversation that shines light on the fact that entrepreneurship is not always easy, nor is success is not always fast. We love this conversation that reminds us that life and business is not always as easy and glamorous as social media would have us believe.

In this episode you will get an glimpse into our conversation around how:

Sometimes money is not the only benchmark by which to measure the success of a business A business can change and morph alongside one’s own personal growth Entrepreneurship can sometimes feel like a slog It’s important to find your WHY and understand what success means to you Understanding the science behind happiness can help to explain your own actions and emotions Being stuck can impact your creativity Designing jewelry that will last generations can feed the soul

  • This week GMM explores the notion of gratitude and looks at it from a different lens. Can gratitude keep us complacent and prevent us from moving forward to achieve our full potential?

In this episode you will get an glimpse into our conversation around:

Have we turned gratitude into a buzzword that has become overused? Selfish vs selfless – do we have it all wrong? Do we sometimes weaponize gratitude when we say things like “You should be grateful that you don’t have it worse than you do!” Do men experience gratitude in the same way that women do? Do we shame ourselves under the veil of gratitude? Does gratitude have a place in our wealth wellness journey and is it something we should practice on a daily basis?

  • While at a yoga retreat in Italy, Jenn, Jackie, and Tessa explore the feelings of imposter syndrome and guilt that come up when you take time for yourself or break away from the everyday routine. They discuss why we tend to feel guilty even when we know it’s important to take time to recharge, and how to not judge ourselves even more during the moments when these feelings arise. At the end of the episode, tie together how the feeling of guilt can tell us a lot about our relationship with money, and some simple strategies to start feeling a little less bad for embracing the beautiful (and maybe even boring!) moments in life.

In this episode, you will learn more about:

In what ways does guilt show up for you in your life, both professionally and personally? Don’t feel guilty about feeling guilty, but try doing these few things instead. Hustle culture has brought along with it a feeling that we always need to be productive and move on to the next thing. Guilt is omnipresent when it comes to being female. Contacts Guilt can appear at times when we are doing something big, like going to a retreat in Italy, or in smaller ways with just smaller decisions and habits. It is a conscious practice to be mindful of how feelings of guilt come up, especially surrounding money. Recognizing where you feel guilt is the first step to letting some of it go. How your money story can have a big impact on how and why you feel guilt creep in.

  • This week, Jenn, Jackie, and Tessa explore the prompt, “What have you learned about yourself through your relationship with money?” They talk about how observing the way we deal with money, both when we have it and also when we feel like we don’t have enough, can really show us how we operate in a lot of other sectors in life. Whether it’s learning to forgive yourself, having tough but honest conversations, or overcoming financial challenges, a person’s relationship with money can be a tricky one. This is a place where we can talk openly about it and learn and grow together.

In this episode, you will learn more about:

How to begin the process of observing your relationship with money. What we can learn about ourselves and our habits and mindset as a whole when we get clear on our relationship with money. A money mindset is not a one size fits all approach! People need to find what works for them individually, and that can look very different for all of us. We need to normalize more honest conversations about money and our capabilities around spending. Social media and watching the “highlight reel” of others can make us feel like we don’t have enough wealth or possessions, but really it all begins with getting a healthier relationship around money. Regardless of the amount of money you have, you can always learn to reframe your relationship in a more positive way. Just stick with this show! When it comes to building better money habits, it’s all about small wins and taking baby steps toward your goal. Having a good relationship with money is more important now more than ever, with inflation and the cost of almost everything going up exponentially.
