Elsewhere, the tag titles are being unified in a cage match, and for the first and probably only time ever, the hardcore title is defended in a ladder match.

Fresh off of one of the biggest and greatest WrestleManias of all time, the Year of Duke and Rogue dive into WWF's Backlash 2001.
We see several rematches from WrestleMania X-7, including a 30 minute submission match between Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, as well as a Duchess of Queensbury affair between William Regal and Chris Jericho. The rules of that one are not clear.
In the main event, all of the gold is on the line as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Triple H challenge The Brothers of Destruction for the Tag Titles, as well as putting their own World and Intercontinental Championships on the line.
