Churches are (mostly) wonderful places for the children of God to gather and worship together. For most people far from God, who have never been to church before, it probably will not be the best way for them to learn more about who Jesus is to invite them to church. Forming a discovery bible study in your home or in the community with people like them would make them more comfortable and more open to dive deeper into discovering God. It is about growing God's Kingdom not our churches!

In this new series, Kevin Baker and Tim Parker will unpack parables of Jesus and help us all see how we can apply them to our disciple-making efforts. Today we look at the Parable of the Net from Matthew 13:47-51.

We continue the story of an everyday disciple-maker, who "didn't do anything" but be obedient to the Holy Spirit's call in making an impact for the Kingdom. We look today at the spiritual statements that were made pointing to Jesus to backup the actions we talked about in last week's episode.BONUS - Listen to FULL Testimony Audio: oakdale.church/testimony

Each of us can have an impact for the Kingdom as an everyday disciple-maker. Tim Parker and guest host, Anne Jordan, unpack an amazing God-sized disciple-making story of an everyday disciple-maker who took extra care of someone at work, pointed them to Christ and saw God multiply their efforts. This is the first half of the story today, tune in next week for the rest.

We can learn from our own discipleship journey, the people who poured into us, mentored us, were in small group with us as we seek to copy what worked for us to disciple others. Kevin Baker shares, in this series, How Did I Get Here, what he has learned by reflecting on his own discipleship journey so that we can all apply it to our lives.
