Jesus came as the Prince of Peace. As we come under the Lordship of Christ, we begin to let Christ establish peace in our lives.
Jesus brought us peace with God Jesus brought us peace in our hearts Jesus came that we would have peace with one another Jesus came to bring his kingdom of peaceâFor to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.â - Isaiah 9:6

Ordinarily, when we express our hope we are expressing uncertainty or wishful thinking. This is not what Biblical Hope is. Biblical Hope is the expectation of coming good based on the person and promises of God. Biblical Hope is not based on wishful thinking or even our circumstances here on earth, but on the person of Jesus Christ. Hope is Here because Jesus has come! Join us as we study the hope of Christ in John 1:1-14 together.

Join us as we dive into Ephesians 2:8-10. 'Being with Jesus' and 'Becoming like Jesus' leads to a life of 'Doing what Jesus did." The thought of doing what Jesus did can feel overwhelming and out of reach, but when we look closely at God's Word, we find that it is possible for every follower of Jesus to do what He did. How could that be possible? The same way our salvation was made possibleâŠby grace.

Suffering invades every nook and cranny of our lives. Everyday, either we or someone we know is suffering. This message looks at suffering through the lens of finding contentment in judgement, mercies, and afflictions.
Judgement sets the stage for Godâs mercy. Mercy is bound tightly to contentment. Contentment is bound tightly to affliction. We are bound tightly to Christ.: Message from November 3, 2024 | Speaker - Derek LaFontaine

We live in a world with a 24hr news cycle, instant messaging, digital distraction, and information overload. The way of Jesus offers us rest for our souls, but this offer comes with a choice. What we find throughout the Bible is that the rest Jesus offers can be experienced by adopting the lifestyle and teachings of Jesus. Being with Jesus is the entry point and foundation for rest for our souls and a life of growing fruitfulness. This weekend, we will take a closer look together at Jesus' words and how when we put them into practice we can find rest for our souls in this noisy world!

God loves you not because of who you are but because of who he is. If you are struggling to grasp Godâs love for you, itâs likely that you are thinking of the wrong kind of love. God is love. The desire of every human heart is to experience a love that is transcendent. Dive into 1 John 4:7-16 with us as we study Godâs love this week.

Romans 16 illustrates that we each have a role to play in Godâs kingdom by celebrating the beauty of the body of Christ. In it, we see a God who glorifies himself by putting our love for each other on display and by using us greatly in the world. Ordinary members play extraordinary roles in the family of God. Romans 16 displays the importance of the family of God for all believers: rich, poor, young, old, slave, or free. The Gospel unites us and changes our lives.

Today we get into Romans 15 and dive into what it means to seek harmony with one another and find our hope in Christ. Maintaining unity in the church begins with the humility of seeking to be more like Christ rather than to make everyone be like us. Christ is our source of all hope and peace.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." - Romans 15:13

Today we get into Romans 12 and the last great theme of the letter. Romans started with the Bad news first. Itâs worse than you thought! For all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. Then the good news. God demonstrated his love for us in this that while we were still sinnerâs Christ died for us. Romans is a deep dive into the full scope of Godâs salvation.
As a result of the amazing way in which God has worked out our salvation, we see that we are called to a life of service unto God.

"Godâs Story follows the pattern of creation, fall, redemption, and new creation.
The Bible begins with creation stories, where God the Father creates a good and perfect world, a world teeming with life and beauty and filled with his Spirit.
But the Story goes on to describe the corruption and brokenness caused by the fall to sin and death.
You see, the people that God had made in his image tragically reject him and rebel against him bringing a curse on all creation that we still suffer from today!!"
