In this series, I share my story and experience with disordered eating. Our ninth episode gives an update on my recent unexpected ban on exercise due to a health procedure, and how that slowly led to a restrictive eating mindset coming back. I talk about how sneaky our minds can be - constantly justifying the restrictive eating thoughts and behaviours. I talk about how I realised that some of the toxic core beliefs I had when I was diagnosed with bulimia 10 years ago - had returned.
Episode highlights:
Disordered eating thoughts can be sneaky. Unexpected exercise ban and a mini relapse. Symptoms: Mental hunger, craving food and anxiety about weight gain. Linking to core toxic beliefs in attraction and self-worth. Recovery mantra and a reminder that we are enough.I hope you can use my experience to reflect on yours or to better understand your loved ones. You can watch this episode as a video on YouTube here.
