Paul Dahmen is the Gallery Director at Markowicz Fine Artâs third location in Laguna Niguel, California. He was inspired to start painting with oil and acrylic paints by the age of nine with the encouragement of his grandmother, who had painted her entire life. However, an artistâs life was not in the cards for him because he could not get through a university drawing class to save his life.
Dahmen graduated with a Bachelorâs Degree in English Literature and Art History from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He moved to Los Angeles after his studies to work in the film and television industry, and did so for over a decade, with the goal of working in the arts in some capacity in the future.
Although he couldnât draw, his passion for the arts never diminished. He decided he would prefer representing artists in a gallery setting to help âconnect the dotsâ between art collectors and artistâs creations. This true passion led him to Laguna Beach to actively pursue his art gallery career.
