In this episode, Trent and Carel Wildenboer, a BeActivated practitioner & physiotherapist, discuss the prevalence of knee injuries and anterior cruciate ligament injuries and how movement compensations could lead to higher risk of susceptible to these injuries.
Carel details the BeActivated approach and how this approach can help to prevent, mitigate and speed recovery of ACL injuries. In simple terms, athletes who display faulty or inefficient movement patterns, are at risk of injury. By using manual therapy, practitioners are able to manipulate fascia and neural pathways to create efficient movement patterns.
