On this, our last ever Irregular B*tches (massive sad face!), we talk to Andrea Mclean, who was arguably one of the very first women in the public eye to start talking about the menopause 4 years ago on Loose Women and has paved the way for the rest of us! She is warm, funny and insightful about her journey and has some great nuggets of advice for all of us midlife ladies navigating the menopause. This episode was actually recorded way back in September, but a series of boring life issues means we're only just uploading it now! Apologies for the wait!
Louise and I would like to thank you all for your loyalty over these last four years: we have enjoyed making our little poddy so much but cannot compete with the big-hitters in the pocastiverse and time and money have made it impossible to continue. We would like to thank all our incredible guests since we started and to Factory Originals for getting us off the ground in the beginning: their help was invaluable. Big thanks also to my husband, Andy who has been so very patient producing and editing for us in his (very limited!) spare time.
Please continue to enjoy listening to all of our back catalogue here on Acast and our DMs are ALWAYS open to any midlfe women who are struggling with this seismic shift in our lives. We love you all so much!
Final words, as ever...
STAY COOL B*TCHES!
All our love, always, Louise and Sarah xxxx

We had a bit of an unintended break due to nothing more exciting than being really bloody busy! But we’re back back back baby, with the legend that is mummy-blogger extraordinaire Alison Perry! There’s not much she can’t do: from raising her twins in midlife to not one but two podcasts and everything “influencer” in between. Oh and we get the goss' about her Top of The Pops days!
In short, she is VERY MUCH a bit of us, and therefore, a true blue Irregular B*tch. Enjoy!

On this episode of your favourite midlife podcast, we chat to Eva Speakman, one half of the couple that have been sorting out our PTSD and phobias for well over a decade now. Eva found herself really adrift when her menopause hit and, by her own admission, couldn't even apply her own teaching to the problem. Here, she talks candidly to Sarah and Lou about how low she felt and her journey back to being fabulous! Thank you SO MUCH Eva, for sharing your story with us.

On this episode we talk to Gail Porter, another 90s and 00s alumni with a proper tale to tell. She talks to us about *that* photo, misogyny in the 90s and (hilariously, though it might not sound like it should be!) her dead dad. Witty, bright, and self deprecating, she truly is an Irregular Bitch, and what better day to gift this episode to you than INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY?!

No matter what your age, good sleep is VITAL! Us IB's have had all the fun recently with temperatures reaching the extremes of the sun, night sweats and just generally bad, disturbed nights. Sooooooo who better to entice into our clutches than Fire Fighter and sleep expert Dan Evison. More dreamy, than nightmareish - so that's perfect.
Oh, and he's got some useful tips too!

In 2021 the Irregular Bitches were asked to do a live podcast recording at McFly In The Park on The Go Fishing Stage.
Up to now, these recordings were thought lost (they were just on Sarah's computer) but now saved from deletion, recovered and dusted off, they are here for you now. It's just like uncovering rare Beatles archives, right?
We thought the message that Lizi Jackson-Barrett shares is sooooooo important and ALWAYS relevant, we even got her on a regular IB show, that it's always worth a re-share. So here it is. Enjoy!

Sarah had so many questions when she was diagnosed with breast cancer and made an epic discovery in Dr Liz O'Riordan: a breast cancer surgeon who has had breast cancer herself. In this episode, we dive deep into the types of breast cancer, what happens to your menopause when you go through breast cancer treatment and we open the debate on supplements: for the menopause and breast cancer sufferers. Dr Liz has all the answers and a brilliant, No Bulllshit attitude that we are totally here for.

Dr Fionnuala Barton is the Menopause Medic and she really speaks our language!
Are you completely confused by the latest 'testosterone in menopause' information bombardment? Dr B is here to educate us on the latest in meno-developments. We also discuss how to cut down your to-do-list, why we can't hold our drink anymore, and the power and positive effects of a good orgasm. On this episode we welcome the lovely Kate Thornton, broadcaster extraordinaire and podcast queen (https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/white-wine-question-time/id1447646731)
We talk about the 90s and 00s and doing pilots with (a then-unknown) Leigh Francis AKA Keith Lemon and she tells us candidly about her journey through peri-menopause and finding solutions to the myriad curveballs it throws at us midlife women; in Kate's case, paralysing anxiety. She is honest, open and disarmingly charming! Thank you Kate.
Please do leave us a review if you like what we're doing and as always...

In this booze-related bonanza we talk to Rosamund Dean, the author of a fantastic book that tells us how to moderate our drinking, (something both Irregular Bitches have had "issues" with in the past;) 'Mindful Drinking'.
There are Cocktail Confessions a-plenty and lots of tricks and tools to improve our relationship with alcohol and make menopause hangovers (THE WORST!) a thing of the past.
So pour yourself a Seedlip and Tonic (other non-alcoholic artisan drinks are available) and get involved.
Our fab guest can be found on INSTA: @rosamunddean and on her website rosamundden.com

This episode we hang out with our gloriously talented Irregular B*tches poet Donna Ashworth.
She has the ability to get into our brains and write out our every thought. Our core question is how the bloody hell does she do it? And what is her process for writing poetry that sums up exactly how we feel?
How her overthinking and emotional intelligence lead her to her talent and now her job as a poet.
How she looks after her mental health having opened herself up to us in her work.
And how she wants her work to help us accept who we are.
Oh and there is a little bonus bit of bants at the end from all of us. We hope you like it!
Donna's 'To the Women', 'The Right Words', 'I Wish I Knew' and many more incredible publications can be found on Amazon, her website and all good book shops. So why not buy a few copies, like we do, and pop them in your presents cupboard.

We don't subscribe to the idea that we are too old for certain styles. (except maybe Harry Styles, and even then...)
We don't believe that there is such a thing as "dressing your age"
We know midlife women can be as cool as F@*K... and today's guest DEFINITELY is...
Jodie Gillary is professional Style Coach and founder of The Styling Works. She specialises in helping women of all ages re-discover their style mojo and self image.
She shares with us how she helps women and shares some of her styling secrets - like the French tuck
Lou puts herself out there with a banging leopard print beret and we are working on Sarah to get those pins out.
Jodie can be found on Instagram @thestylingworks and on Facebook: The Styling Works: A community to help with all fashion and style issues!
