She has been actively involved in the field of mediation for several decades and has made significant contributions to its development and implementation. As the former President and Chair of the Board of Mediators Beyond Borders International, Cole has been a driving force in promoting mediation globally. In the early 1990s, she played a pivotal role as Chair of the Civil Justice Reform Act Commission, where she recommended the use of mediation in the civil case management process for Federal Judges in the Middle District of Florida. They accepted her recommendation, making them the first Federal District to adopt mediation.

This groundbreaking initiative paved the way for the integration of mediation into the legal system and set a precedent for other states to follow. Cole's expertise in mediation extends beyond the United States. She has worked and lived in developing rule-of-law countries such as Bulgaria, Jordan, Kosovo, and Sri Lanka. Her international experience has further enhanced her skills as a mediation specialist. Prior to focusing exclusively on mediation, Cole had a successful career as an AV-rated trial attorney for over 27 years where she specialized in commercial matters, contracts, labor, and employment law. This extensive litigation background, combined with her knowledge of federal and state evidentiary and procedural law, provides Cole with a unique perspective in her role as a mediator and arbitrator.

Oksana Bilozir. Famous Ukrainian Pop Store, People’s Artist of Ukraine, Former People’s Deputy of Ukraine, and the Former Minister of Culture and Tourism in Ukraine.
Throughout her career, Oksana has made significant artistic achievements. Our guest began her concert activity in 1979 as a soloist of VIA "Vatra," which was founded by her first husband. Since 1994, she has been the lead singer of the music band "Oksana" and has released 15 albums, a DVD, and 10 music films. Oksana Bilozir's political career is equally noteworthy. She has been elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine three times, twice from the bloc Our Ukraine (in 2002-2005 and in 2006), and from the bloc Our Ukraine – People's Self-Defense during early parliamentary elections in 2007. In addition, she led the Social Christian Party from 2004-2005, which later merged with United Centre. • “We Stand With Ukraine-100 Episodes Series-One Story At A Time,” Join Dr. Sergiy Borysov, (Guest Co-Host) and I as we discuss The Holodomor-Ukraine’s Forgotten Genocide. The Holodomor was a man-made famine that occurred in Ukraine when it was a part of the Soviet Ukraine between 1932 and 1933. It was a result of Soviet policies under Joseph Stalin, which included forced collectivization of agriculture and the seizure of grain from Ukrainian farmers. The purpose of the famine was to suppress Ukrainian nationalism and resistance to Soviet rule. As a result, approximately 7-10 million Ukrainians, particularly in rural areas, died from starvation and related illnesses-(the true number of deaths may never be known). While The Holodomor is considered a genocide by many scholars and is a tragic event in Ukrainian history, it failed to extinguish Ukraine’s unwavering spirit for freedom and independence from the USSR and Russia.
