It's official! The name of the new podcast will be... Double Jump!! We figured we might as well hit number 30 here, so tune in next week for the real, honest to goodness, last episode of JV Game Dev.

Mangler du episoder?

Joe takes a trip to visit Victor and friends in Austin - their first meeting in person since starting the project. The team continues to finalize brand concepts for the new podcast and will be back here for at least one more episode!
-
As JV Game Dev approaches its end, the JV team reflects on the process and gathers itself for the next iteration. They also may have found a name.
-
Dropping a bomb here... Joe and Victor will be closing out JV Game Dev and pivoting into a new, podcast! We still have a few episodes left before that happens. Listen to the details of one of the bigger events in this project since we started 6 months ago.
-
The JV team begins developing microtransactions. Just kidding! But they do have a thing or two to say about them, while also reminiscing about college and discussing tactics to get back into the swing of things moving forward.
-
Victor takes a big step forward by submitting his manuscript to Pitch Wars. And Joe sets up a Patreon and a Unity affiliate to start looking into funding options for JV Game Dev. Disclaimer: Joe's mic quality is especially poor this week after testing out a cheap option that was not optimal (evidence that your patronage will help us get the right equipment)! This situation should be remedied for next week. Our apologies!
-
The JV team gets ready to jump back into the development of Upville. Victor also gets ready for pitch wars, while Joe tests out his (hopefully) upgraded new microphone.
-
Victor and Joe come back from the break and get you up to speed on the highlights (and lowlights) during their time off. Also up on today's agenda... is it time for a rebrand?
-
5 months of podcast episodes. A whole lot of hours of game development. The JV team closes the book on a major phase of the project, as it heads into its first break.
-
The JV team fields life little surprises. Joe drops deeply introspective reflections and Victor discusses constructive criticism. Plus, friendship!
-
The JV squad finds itself knee-deep in a favorite game and a luxurious book, and discusses how such media inform the content they aspire to create.
-
The JV team is NOT actually hiring artists. But they also definitely are NOT artists, and at some point they will need one. They discuss such hurdles in the development process, as well as super hero books and thrill rides.
-
The JV team completes the first week of five as their break approaches and reminisces on some of the good old times.
-
..."it" being game development! Joe uses words not good. Victor creates a few fun new reject heroes. And the JV team lays out their game-plan for the rest of the summer.
-
The JV team discusses good health habits to stay focused on the creative path. And then literally talks pathfinding - the technical game dev concept -as well as character dialog, game assets, and more.
-
Enjoying the summer and just hanging out is part of the creative process too! Plus the JV Team has some "profound" words of inspiration.
-
...you eat the icing too. Victor drops semi-lucid tidbits of wisdom. Joe admits to his family that he does, in fact, exist in this world. And somewhere in the periphery a game is being made.
-
The JV team comes back from their break with a renewed perspective on the next steps of the process. There's still only one season. Or really there are no seasons. It's metaphorical, okay?
-
The JV squad steps back and looks at their first 3 months, and decides to take the coming week to replenish the well.
