We continue our cultural introduction to Bretonnia with a view of their relations with other human nations and the Wood Elves of Athel Loren. We then turn to the seas to look at their naval power, ports and their claim to be the greatest sailors in the Old World. Feudal Hierarchy of Bretonnia from the noble ranks of knights to the role (and miserable lot) of Bretonnian serfs. We close out the episode with a dive into the sumptuary laws that the Nobles use to control the serfs and the roles and traditions that protect/oppress the noble women of the land. On balance, not a great place to liveâŠ

In this, our first episode of a mystery faction, we start off with their mysterious place in the game, their mysterious beginnings in 3rd editions and their limited but very mysterious number of army books through the editions. We look at their original and slightly mysterious framing as a ||REDACTED|| faction and their evolution into a High Fantasy version of the same ||REDACTED|| faction. We dive into their mysterious bifurcated society and the roles each section play before closing out with a brief but extraordinarily mysterious tour around their homeland and the more populous religions found there. Oh sweet mystery!

In this our final episode on the warriors of Chaos we take a dive into the tabletop version of the army. We start with the core troops available to all chaos tribes and then expand out to include the more specialised and godbound troop types such as the comical Wrathmongers and the swift Hellstriders. We touch on older versions of the army and the allies and mercenaries they could take, including Dark Elves (Slaanesh), Undead (Nurgle), and Chaos Dwarfs (Khorne)... Tzeentch gets nothing ⊠as planned.

This episode we focus our attention on the dread Changer of Ways, Tzeentch and his love of corruption and subversion of the status quo. We touch on the corruption of magic users and the extensive use the forces of Tzeentch have of chaos cults and their bestial cousins, the Tzangor, before diving into the Armies of Tzeentch and units such as the Silver Knights of Tzeentch and the fearsome Mutalith Vortex Beast. We turn our attention to the champions of Tzeentch, namely the tragic rise of Melekh and the plant blooming journey of Aekold Helbrass. We close out the episode with the schemes of Egrimm van Horstmann, his various alliances with the dark powers and the event that triggered his fall into the clutches of Tzeentch ... as planned.

Continuing our dive into the chaos gods and their champions, it is the turn of the martial blood god Khorne. We start with an existential conversation on what drives mortals to become his champions and their violent relationship with other champions, using the former Knight of the Blazing Suns, Slaurith, as a prime example. We turn our attention to the murderous cultists of Khorne and the blood gods strained and confusing stance on magic. We dive into the continuing adventures of Aarball the Undefeated and his enormous flesh hound mount (Gabby). We explore the tale of Valkia the Bloody, the "Shield-Maiden of Khorne", a fearsome champion and consort of Khorne. We close the episode with a âwhen Khorne goes badâ tale of Scyla Anfingrimm, glorious chaos champion turned chaos spawn after one to many reward-naps.

Are you sick? Are you struggling with disease? Ask your apothecary if Nurgle is right for you. This episode we ooze into the worship and followers of Grandfather Nurgle. We look at the twin cultures of joyful hopelessness and bone shattering despair that characterise his many followers be they mortal cultists or the brutal Pestigor beastmen that ⊠plague? ⊠the Empire. Cral is delighted to hear the further adventures of Festus Leechlord and both he and Ben are mightily impressed by the Glorious brother that comprise the Glottkin, we close out the episode with the depressing tale of Valnir the reaper and reveal that itâs not all laughs and puss in the garden of Nurgle, there are mopy edgelords too.

What does it take to become a Warrior of the Dark Prince? We look at the type of culture that exists within the Hordes of Slaanesh and their Slaangor Beastmen allies. Two magic items are used to illustrate the corruption of Slaanesh that may lead many to the path of Excess. We then veer north and describe a number of Slaaneshi Chaos Champions. We start with two denied High Elves; Gilberion and Dechala. We look at the life of Styrkaar , the would-be final sexy champion of the Storm of Chaos before discussing the hypnotic overlord of Slaaneshi Mortals, Sigvald the Magnificent. We detail his rise to power, his Gilded Palace and his eventual deal with the god Slaanesh themselves. We close with an uncomfortable interlude where Ben and Cral man-crush hard on an image of SigvaldâŠ

In this episode we look at the campaign that never was, the Storm of Chaos ... aos ... aos... We start with the overly eager Chaos Zar Surtha Lenk as he invades the Empire and lays siege to the Wolfenburg. We detail the internal and External schism of the empire that is somewhat resolved by the Conclave of Light. We discuss the political genius of the Emperor Karl Franz in dealing with Sigmar Reborn and the titanic battles all factions on the Fated Place must endure. When then go through a the campaign at nose-bleed speed with a lot of "meanwhiles" and "suddenlies". We end the episode in the same weird anti-climactic tone of the campaign itself and decide that it is better that it was all retconned... THIS NEVER HAPPENED

We launch into the History of the Warriors of Chaos by heading BACK to the future, no to the collapse of the polar gates. We discuss Belakorâs rise and fall and the Dwarfs that would become Chorfs AKA Chaos Dwarfs, all while trying to work out who the nameless chaos champions of early history were. We touch on some of the more notable battles as well as the defences that different races use against them. We close out the episode with a look at two of the more famous Champions of Chaos, Azazel (nĂ©e Gerreon) and Morkar, the retconned first Everchosen of Chaos or Pillager of Ulthuan⊠Dharâs still not sure.

Continuing our look at the great tribes of the north we look at the role played by Chaos Champions. Leaders, sorcerers and prophetic warriors of the gods, Chaos Champions represent the most âcolourfulâ aspects of the followers of chaos in Warhammer the Old World. We discuss how one begins on the eightfold pathway to Daemonhood and what challenges such beings face as they begin their inevitable pilgrimage North. We look at four such champions and their warbands from the heyday of the Realms of Chaos books and detail their followers and rewards.

In this episode we introduce you all to the charmingly rustic, though somewhat âevilâ, peoples of the north. The four great nation tribes, the Marauders, of the very stabby arctic circle. We start with the Norscans of ⊠well⊠Norsca, those evil vikings that patrol the sea of claws and raid the costs of the old world. Moving east we then take a gander at the nomadic Kurgan tribes and then the stone age savages that raid both Cathay and Naggaroth, the Hung. We briefly touch on the most mysterious and violent of the tribes, the Tong, before giving a somewhat confusing description of the layers of tribal society. Oh and there is a Map that we 100% will include in the show notes⊠100%

We look at the core of the High Elf armies, the Citizen Levy before diving into the famed units drawn from each of the ten kingdoms. From the Dragon Knights of Caledor to the flying chariots of the Lothern Seaguard.
