  • In this episode I talk to Dr. Katherine Iscoe about her research on the differences between self-worth, self-esteem and confidence and how self-respect becomes the foundation of a healthy and meaningful life. Dr. Iscoe explains HAPP (high achieving people-pleaser) and how to re-frame the stories we tell ourselves.

    Introduction

Dr Katherine Iscoe is a keynote speaker, author, board member, former CEO of a dual-listed public company, academic mentor and summa cum laude graduate with multiple scholarships and awards.

Despite these achievements and perceived public success, Katherineā€™s mental health was teetering on collapse; she hid a debilitating eating disorder for over two decades, persevered through severe depression and thoughts of suicide and most recently quit 'life' and her career during a emotional breakdown.

It is precisely these deeply personal experiences that have shaped Katherine's latest research focus: the inseparable connection between self-respect and self-leadership, because at the core of her struggle for inner peace, it was a lack of self-respect that influenced her self-destructive tendencies.

Her latest research reveals that self-respect enables a leader to push the limits of their potential by recognizing their inherent worth and significance, enabling them to embrace calculated risks and break barriers, fostering a deep belief in their ability to make a meaningful impact. Self-respecting leaders also communicate with more confidence, exhibit greater resilience, live free of imposter syndrome, and wholeheartedly embrace a growth mindset.

  • In this episode I talk to Catherine LifeDesign about emotional intelligence from a nervous system perspective.

    Introduction

Catherine is a nervous system, purpose & business coach... but most of all a total freedom lover. Thatā€™s why she created her business LifeDesign because as a teenager she suffered from narcissistic and emotional abuse and DIDN'T have any freedom to be who she truly was.

Little did she now that her childhood experiences would trigger her nervous system into constant survival mode (fight, flight, freeze), which showed up in her business as procrastination, overwhelm, perfectionism, ADHD, fear, doubt and self-sabotage etc.

Then all of a sudden, Catherineā€™s health collapsed and she was diagnosed with autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, anxiety, cPTSD (complex trauma), depression and 30+ other diagnoses & symptoms. She thought she was going to die at 41. Until she discovered nervous system regulation and brain retraining.

Within 4 months she healed, became symptom-free, energetic, joyful... normal again! Catherine then started to apply the same principles and tools that she had used to heal her body & soul to her business... and it friggin changed EVERYTHING!
