William Eaglstein, MD, originally from Missouri, is the former chairman of dermatology at the Universities of Pittsburgh and Miami. He has served as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health Policy Fellow in Washington, DC, chaired advisory panels for both the FDA and NIH, and held the position of Vice President at Stiefel, a GSK company. His contributions to wound healing have earned him Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Union of Wound Healing Societies and the Wound Healing Society, along with an Honorary Membership in the American Academy of Dermatology and a Citation of Merit from the University of Missouri. Dr. Eaglstein currently resides in Los Altos, California, with his wife, Janet, where he remains active in wound healing, drug development, regulatory affairs, contemporary art, and bicycling.

Jack L. Arbiser, MD PhD is a key opinion leader in Dermatology. He holds a BS/MS in Organic Chemistry from Emory and MD/PhD from Harvard Medical School. He has nearly 300 publications, 24 issued US Patents and numerous international patents. He mas made many seminal discoveries in dermatology and oncology. These include the first demonstration of phosphoinositol-3 kinase in angiogenesis, reactive oxygen and Akt in melanoma. Most recently, he served as the inaugural Thomas Lawley Professorship in Dermatology. Throuh his studies on ant venom, he has discovered that the skin barrier function is dependent on ceramide metabolism, allowing for the discovery of common pathways underlying psoriasis, eczema and nonmelamoma skin cancer. Dr Arbiser currently practices at Metroderm/UDP, Atlantas largest private practice dermatology group.

Valerie Gershenhorn, DO has always believed in the integrative approach to healing. This is why she attended the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Dr. Gershenhorn then went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York where she became chief resident. After staying on for a chief residency year, Dr. Gershenhorn earned board certification in internal medicine. Dr. Gershenhorn completed her dermatology residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital and earned board certification in dermatology. She has been practicing dermatology since 2006. Dr. Gershenhorn feels aligned with integrative dermatology because she believes that the skin is a “check engine light” for what is happening within the body. Her approach to patients always involves their internal health and well-being. Following her passion, Dr. Gershenhorn completed Dr. Andrew Weil’s Integrative Medicine program in 2020. In 2023 Dr Gershenhorn completed a Root Cause Dermatology course under the mentorship of Julie Greenberg ND in which she learned how to interpret advanced functional labs such as GI MAP stool test, OAT (Organic Acid Test), Mycotoxin test, DUTCH Hormone test, and many more tests to uncover root cause issues linked to skin dis-ease. It is Dr. Gershenhorn’s honor to listen to and work with each patient to find the most optimal treatments. Dr. Viera finished one year of general surgery and four years of dermatology residency at the University of Miami Miller Medical School. She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of medicine. She has been part of several renowned health centers inside and outside of the United States, including the Hospital of Central University of Venezuela and the Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. She is a volunteer faculty member at the Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami, where she devotes her time to teaching the residents in training. She is a fellow member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), Women's Dermatologic Society (WDS), Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (FSDDS), American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), Venezuelan Society of Dermatology, and the International Society of Dermatology (ISD). Dr. Viera also completed LearnSkin's Integrative Dermatology Certificate Program (IDCP) in 2023. Since the beginning of her career, Dr. Viera has been invited as a speaker at more than 30 conferences across the globe, placing herself in the forefront of her specialty. With over 40 publications in prestigious national and international journals and book chapters in dermatology and cutaneous surgery, Dr. Viera has established herself in the industry. Various organizations have awarded Dr. Viera with honors, including the Recognition of Excellence Award (Residents and Fellow Sections of AMA) in 2008.
