Maria Sundell is a clinical neurologist with experience in cognitive medicine. After realizing that healthcare is largely focused on the brain when something goes wrong, she wanted to learn more about what a truly healthy, happy brain looks like and has since pivoted into more research-based work and launched the podcast; Brain Observations. Similar to her work there, this episode explores what factors related to brain health, cultivating the mind, and psychological well-being that contributes to a truly healthy, happy life, and why.
When you understand yourself better it is easier to find what makes you as an individual thrive and feel joy. When you understand the mind better it is easier to find peace. When you understand the brain better you see the possibilities.Resources:

This is a rerun of one of our listener's favorites, recorded back in 2018 after having spent a full week at Färjås Yoga Retreat and meeting the founder, Konrad Swenninger. We sat down to record this episode immediately after 48 hours of total silence, and today it might give us some insights as to how to handle lockdown and quarantine.
Besides founding the retreat, he runs a humanitarian organization called Soteria International, working with the European Parliament and the United Nations. This proved to be a perfect opportunity to learn more about yoga and the spiritual path.

On this World Meditation Day, we have chosen to share a rerun of the episode we created as a tool to be used as a continuous reminder of practicing plasticity and having a growth mindset. Making a fixed mindset impossible by basing your confidence in your ability to learn, rather than previous knowledge gained.
"People with a growth mindset believe that they can improve with effort. They outperform those with a fixed mindset, because they embrace challenges, treating them as opportunities to learn something new". - Dr. Travis Bradberry for the World Economic Forum.
We wish you progress and great learnings from whatever challenge you may tackle within the nearest future!
