What’s it like to work on NGO education projects?
In this episode, we invited Allie Chao, who works on international development projects (NGO) focusing on eduction for international aid. Allie worked as a teacher before. She aspired to work in a more diverse and international environment, so she chose to be involved in international development (NGO) job focusing on education. With her profession and knowledge, she helps people in need around the world, such as Lebanon, Myanmar, and Joran.
It’s a challenging task to work on the projects supporting education projects for refugees, the underprivileged, and people living in remote areas. Allie not only meets all the education requirements but also keeps expanding her skillsets. In the episode, she also shared the qualification and the favorable personality traits of workers on international development projects. Also, she shared how she get here from a school teacher.

A Belgian Productivity Coach living in Taiwan-Pierre Motor
“I help people achieve more in less time with less stress.” Pierre explained in the show about his job as a productivity coach.
How does a productivity coach help clients to achieve their goals? What are the interesting and difficult parts of this profession? This episode we invited Pierre Mentor,a productivity coach from Belgium, to share his wonderful life story with us.
Pierre also shared his thoughts about Taiwan and why he finds Taiwanese people and cuisine so fascinating. And, the most weird thing for him about the island is how Taiwanese people drive!
Pierre joined Toastmasters to meet new people and be a good communicator. As a non-native speaker of English, he also shared his tips about improving the speaking skill:
1. Not to overthink and just try
2. Have the courage to speak imperfectly
3. Get some drinks!

【EP-09】The wise Toastmasters ft. John Grigsby / Host-Ines Wen
What comes to mind when you think of Toastmasters? It is a huge organization but consists of talented and driven individuals from different fields, carrying different stories.
In this episode, we invited a special guest John, who only joined Toastmasters 5 years but has already served as a Co-chair of the Hall of Fame at the 2022 toastmasters international convention, and earned the DTM.
Through the journey in Toastmasters, John has broken his bad habits of fast speaking and learned to how to be a leader. He tells a story of how Toastmasters benefited the leadership of his career.
With his military background, he also points out the difference of being a leader between a military and a private company .
In addition, John is an author. In his book, Blackberry Wisdom, we see the wisdom and insight through the conversation between him and his grandmother. By sharing the life stories and experiences, John has encouraged young generations.
