The old saying goes “show me your friend and I’ll tell you who you are”
This saying basically tells us that our friends are a reflection of ourselves but some people do not agree with this- some of us believe that we are completely different from the people in our circle.
On this episode we dig deep into the impact our friends have in every aspect of our lives- particularly in our love lives.
-
The popular saying goes “all good things must come to an end” but it doesn’t tell us what the end of something good does to us, how it makes us feel. Whenever the end of something good is nearing, it gives us a type of feeling- the feeling of wanting to go back to experience again what we’ve already experienced and a feeling of fear for what’s to come next.

We have all reached that stage where we feel that crushes are overrated and it becomes almost a sin to have one, well, some of us have gotten to that stage- for those of us who haven’t we have less than three years before we get there.
I am talking about when you “find a crush” in a hopeless place and no, I am not talking about love- it’s when you feel like you shouldn’t have those feelings again but you do and you forget the other “crushing” feelings that comes with having a crush. -
Don’t you just hate a situation of “bitch stole my look” ? You know when you walk into a party and you see someone else wearing the exact outfit as you are or when you visit your in-laws and discover that your Favourite outfit is the same as their tablecloth.
Yeah, I hate that too and I have a lot to say about it and a lot of stories to back up my argument of why we shouldn’t be wearing the same thing. -
Often times we settle for the things that are not meant for us,
Be it in our love lives or professional lives, when push comes to shove and we don’t have anything to lose we see ourselves relaxing and taking what life has to offer because we are afraid thaT we may not get more than what we’ve got.
So a question comes to mind
how do we know when to settle and when to keep trying to see if we can get more from life? -
Growing up is inevitable and so is growing apart from family,
As we all get older, find our own paths and build our own families we might sometimes forget the family we came from because everyone from that family is all grown up and taking care of their own families.
As a young person who is slowly becoming an adult asides from the anxiety you get when you think of getting older there’s also this fear of growing apart from your loved ones. -
The sad truth about life is that we don’t always win. Somethings are not meant to be and some people will not be as successful as some others. As we go about our day to day struggles to achieve our goals and make our dreams come true, once in a while we sit and think “what if I fail?” “what if this isn’t meant for me?” These thoughts and what we do about them shape what our futures will be like.

In a previous episode we discussed what the brother zone was and on this episode our host is joined with fellow creative Fortune phirstclass to discuss more of what we left off and to get insider knowledge from a man who knows exactly what it’s like to be in that zone.

Everybody’s got their “stuff” for some it’s the internal things they are dealing with and for some others it’s actual stuff. For me it’s actual stuff, actual properties and I have a lot of them, I love to collect them and I love to keep them. So you might ask like some others have, why do I even have so much stuff?

Everyone wants perfect, shiny skin but not everyone is going to get it. Some people have skin as smooth as an egg and some don't which has in turn led them to search high and low for anything that will give that eternal glow

Overtime we have seen the most beautiful dresses on the red carpet, we have also seen the most complicated ones and the ones that were too hard to look but all in all we have seen art infused in fashion and we have seen good and bad results from it. Fashion and art are almost one in the same but what happens when an outfit is more artistic than it is wearable?

The term "Petering out" might being foreign to some but the meaning isn't so foreign to most of us.
We have all been in the situation where we don't want to ghost someone but we don't want to talk to them either, it's that in between that leaves us sneaking out of relationships like a thief in the night. On this episode our special guest Fate talks with pur host about this nerve wrecking experience and how it affects relationships. -
In honour of International Women's month. Zizi invites her wonderful girlfriends Dee, Fate and Korie to hear their take on the role of the girl child in Africa, the experiences of the African woman and the newly coined term "Afro- feminism" and how it is set to impact our society in the future.

From the world of unrequited Love comes the zone for brothers, you guessed it, it's the brother zone. Most times when people you love don't feel the same way they tend to zone you, well, in the friend zone but what happens when you fall far into the brother zone?
-
Everyone has experienced unrequited Love at least once in their lifetime. It's that moment when you love someone so deeply and they just don't feel the same way, it leaves you wondering for long and makes you feel less than, basically, it sucks!
On this episode, my good friends and Co hosts Emmanuel and Dee talk about their personal experiences, what they've learnt from it and what they'd do different next time. -
Zizi and Kim return with another heart to heart. It's a new year and one sister has love in her life already( Long distance love)
Not everyone loves Long distance but not everyone understands it, on this episode, we talk about it extensively, it's ups, it's downs and if it really lasts. -
Some of us dread the month of February, some can't stand the sight of love birds professing love to each other and some others can't stand the fact that they would be alone on that day but being alone isn't so bad, it's better to be alone than to be lonely.

Every boarder knows that boarding school is such a drag!
But that depends on what you experienced, some of us attended the private boarding schools that are pure luxury and some others had wild adventures on the other side.
On this episode I sit down with my siblings to talk about what it was like for me on the side of luxury compared to what it was like for them on the other side. -
It is finally one year since we published our first episode. So far it has been amazing and we wouldn't have made it without the big support we got from everyone. On this episode Zizi talks about the journey so far and what to expect in the future.
