I got to speak with Scott Martini of Great Scott Designs- Scott is a visionary artist/illustrator, who seamlessly merges traditional wood carving techniques with a contemporary touch. Scott's work also explores the intersections between popular culture and traditional art forms. His carvings often feature elements of pop culture, creating pieces that are innovative and rooted in tradition.
Scott and I discussed how he started with screen printing, did puppet making, and how he got into creating beautiful wood art, along with how he and his wife, Ashley- have worked to sell at small and large events and grow the business.

I got to speak with Tyler Brunache of Smokemade Meats + Eats- A locally owned award-winning Central Texas-style BBQ restaurant in Orlando. *
We got to speak about how he got into BBQ and where the love of BBQ comes from. We talked about the difference between Central Texas BBQ and other BBQs. Tyler shared with me the hardest transition from a successful pop-up to now running a brick-and-mortar location.
We also spoke about the food Smokemade Meats is making from scratch- from the sides to the desserts and the amount of time it takes to smoke and let meats rest. To being close to perfect before growing and constant consistency.
Tyler also mentioned the great community coming together mentioning getting feedback and help from previous Lunch with Biggie guests- Andrew from Jam Hot Chicken; Traviss from Black Magic Pizza and Derek from Bien Fuegos BBQ along with many others.

I got to speak with Sarah Dudek of Indestructible Food - A project in which Sarah draws and writes about the history, and community of nonperishable fare. Indestructible food sits at the crossroads of nutrition, science, advertising, and flavor. For this project, She drew shelf-stable food, researched it, and wrote about it. Sarah is also a screen printer, illustrator, food fanatic, and lecturer of Marketing Management and Creative Entrepreneurship.

I got a chance to speak with Mark Thompson and Ryan Bozeman of Picnic Project- a nonprofit started because of the simple belief that there is enough for everyone if we all share, because no one has to be hungry or lonely.
I got to speak with Mark and Ryan about why they started and how they started giving out food to the food insecure at the park and moved to become a nonprofit and partner with Second Harvest Food Bank to provide food to the folks in Sanford, FL, and Seminole County for over 14 years.
We spoke about their Taste and Sip charity event what they love most about doing the Picnic Project and the hardest part.
