But many people might be at a crossroads so my podcast today is not just for students but for everyone who may find themselves not sure what to do next - so here are some tips on how to move forward and take the next step forward.
Just remember no matter the decision, there are no right or wrong answers. If the path you take does not work out as planned treat it as a learning curve. Here are 5 tips on how to stop beating yourself up – sometimes also called self-bullying.
It’s great to have goals. Yes you need to have things in life you want to achieve. But you don’t have to constantly seek perfection in everything and then beat yourself up for everything not being perfect or making mistake or not achieving your goals when you wanted.
It’s ok to critique yourself and learn from mistakes because this helps you to be more self-aware and find new ways to improve.
However, if you constantly beat yourself up, criticise yourself then instead of helping you reach your goals it erodes your confidence and your peace of mind.
Take a moment to think about some questions.....

Be more like water – be flexible, uncompromising and persistent in overcoming challenges and obstacles just like water finds its way. You might be wondering what water has to do with exploring your emotions but life is ever-changing like water. Bottling up your emotions, usually due to past conditioning, impacts negatively on your health. Take time to confront, embrace, and understand your feelings, let them flow smoothly rather than bottling them up. You and only you are in control of your emotions – they are not in control of you. Remember changes are a natural part of life. Learn to accept change. Use your journal to write down your feelings.

It impacts negatively on your overall life and relationships so it is important to recognise it and be able to handle it. In this podcast I help you to understand this manipulative, abusive psychological behaviour. I also give you tips and strategies for dealing with it.
