Welcome back to a new Mindful Monday series on Mommy's on a Call. It's been a couple months off from podcasting due to an unexpected surgery, illnesses and well, life. I'll go into my health and surgery later on the podcast, but for now, bringing back an episode from Oct 2020 that I thought is so helpful as we move forward to summer and the rest of the year.
It's time to revaluate and eliminate those things wasting our time, draining our energy and bringing us down. In order to make space to grow, expand, build and improve, we need to eliminate those energy drains (aka energy vampires) and in this episode, I go through exactly how to do that. Before we can add, we need to subtract and reevaluate.

Everyone has trauma and toxic stress. You don't need to have gone through some major life altering event to have unresolved trauma (I mean the last 3 years were traumatic enough for most parents!).
In this episode, I dive deep with Dr. Amy Hoyt on different types of trauma response and toxic stress, common symptoms of unresolved trauma in high-achieving women, and ways we can tune into our bodies to heal from trauma and stop generational trauma so we can optimize our health and happiness.
Dr. Amy Hoyt is the founder of Mending Trauma, a digital mental health company that specializes in trauma recovery, and the co-host of the Universe is Your Therapist podcast with her sister, Leina Hoyt.
Dr. Hoyt is certified in trauma and traumatic stress studies and what I love the most about her work is that she does it from a whole health and holistic psychology perspective. She is passionate about teaching others to reprogram their brains and heal their nervous systems so they can overcome thoughts, triggers and behaviors stemming from past trauma.
On top of it all, Amy is a mom of 5 children, 3 of whom have special needs.

Many of you have followed the last 3+ years of my #OperationRoomShare journey. I’ve had my ups and downs with my kids' sleep which in turn affects us, the parents, getting a good night’s rest. We all know the importance of sleep for adults and your overall health, but sometimes those kids don’t let you get good zzzs. In this episode, Brittany and I chat all about
Her recent solo trip with one of her three kids and the importance of 1-1 time with individual kids Her transition from marketing to sleep consulting and becoming and entrepreneur The top three mistakes she sees parents making with their kids and sleep Sleep strategies to help sleep train your baby, toddler or kidFollow Brittany at

Leah Arnold-Smeets is the founder of Woo Woo Realm, and an intuitive tarot reader, medium and spiritual guide located in Orange County, CA, with clients all over the world.
However, in her pre-"woo woo life", she was a badass COO for an app development company and a marketing and operations expert. Leah’s growth over the years from battling postpartum depression and ending up in the psych ward to emerging into this beautiful spiritual being is an inspiration to all that there isn't one right way to heal or be a mom. Her journey has inspired me over the years to also tap into my spiritual side.
When Leah is not slinging tarot cards or tapping into 'the other side,' she's busy being a mom to her two kids, Emiko and Jordy, her giant dog, and nine chickens!
In this episode, Leah and I chatted about…
Growing up with a single mom in South Central Los Angeles Living her life on other people's terms and what she thought she should be doing Getting pregnant with her first child and suffering from prenatal anxiety Her severe postpartum depression journey which led her to the psych ward How to ask for help and advocating for your own mental health Her spiritual journey awoke when she started to learn how to protect her daughter from spirits When she started seeing visions and how she channeled that gift and her intuition into the workplace as a COO The differences between ego and intuition How breathwork has impacted her life and her parenting What is tarot and how tarot can be used to help create clarity and healingFollow Leah at...

Welcome back to a Friday episode of Mommy's on a Call where I'm going to be doing a little bit of a pep talk or behind the scenes series of what's going on in my life or interesting things that I come across.
Ever feel like you're doing all the things you're supposed to be doing? You've learned all the tools and tactics. You've started implementing what you've read and learned, and yet, you aren't seeing the results you hoped for? You keep feeling like you've had setback after setback even when you are still moving forward? You're just down right FRUSTRATED!
Trust me, I have been there many times over and over, especially right now in my own business and health.
In today's episode I share a big "ah ha" moment I had during a health coaching session for myself. Something that I overlooked, but is the key ingredient to my emotional wellness (and probably others too).

Celebrating 3 years of podcasting (and 2 years as the Mommy's on a Call podcast). What started as the Power Mom Minute evolved into Mommy's on a Call. Flash forward 120 episodes, 2 more babies, a global pandemic and THREE years later, Mommy’s on a Call has now reached thousands of listeners in over a dozen countries and is now ranked in the top 2% of podcasts globally. I’m not saying this to brag (although I am pretty proud of that), but more reflecting upon “what if I never launched?”
As I reflected back on the last 3 years, I started reflecting upon what I'm struggling with right now and what does now look like in this new season of motherhood.
And I want you to be part of this journey.
I want to know what are you struggling with right now? What can I help you with? What do you want to learn and hear more about? Because I want to bring that to you. I want to bring interesting guests and content that excites you.
I am so proud of the last 3 years of the show and I look forward to many more years to come!
So please, share this podcast with your friends, share it on social media, and help continue to get the word out there. And if you haven't left a review, please do that because reviews also help gain awareness on Apple Podcasts.
I appreciate all of your loyalty and for listening in even if this is your first episode or your 121th episode.
