Remma is a DJ and founder of the DIY station ITMOTR Radio, which has played a significant role in shaping the music culture of the outer Eastern corner of the Netherlands. Remma has played at institutions such as Dekmantel, Garage Noord and had multiple appearances at De School, where he was selected to play one of the final sets at the legendary ‘Het Einde’ closing party.
For MNMT 458 the young virtuoso shows skills and finesse behind the decks like that of a seasoned veteran, weaving together obscurities from by-gone eras with the freshest cuts into one seamless trip. No big hits, nothing obvious, just pure heads-down hypnotism.

Mariachiara Troianiello, the Italian sound artist behind the moniker Katatonic Silentio, works at the crossroads of electronic music, performing arts and sound studies. Active as a DJ for more than 15 years, her sets adopt multiple forms, fluctuating between an analogue past and a technological, fast-paced future. At times, her sets focus on pure abstraction, consisting of ethereal soundscapes that seek to transcend the tangible through a mix of musique concrète, world, spoken word, ambient or dub. At others, they come across as concrete and club-oriented, crossing techno, broken beats or drum'n'bass.

Efdemin is a DJ, producer, multidisciplinary artist and a certified legend of electronic music. As a resident of Berghain his infamous sets attract a cult-like devotion and his releases on iconic labels like Dial, Curle and Ostgut Ton are equally as revered. He’s remixed superstar artists like Depeche Mode, Tiga and Moby and has even been remixed by the enigmatic maestro Traumprinz.

Nadia Struiwigh is a producer, live artist, DJ and resident of Tresor. Her music spans ambient, electro and techno and has been featured on labels like Nous’klaer Audio, Dekmantel and Central Processing Unit. In 2024 she founded the label Distorted Waves focussing on hardware-centered, more experimental works. Her DJ sets explore driving and psychedelic techno, while also delving into deeper sounds, while her live sets are known for their unique sonic improvisation.

After the pandemic, I felt a bit unmoored. Spending time in Australia distanced me from the European scene, and I found myself feeling quite lost. Once I returned, I initially focused on Techno, but soon realized my true foundation has always been experimental music and narrative-driven performances—whether in my own productions, live sets, or DJ sets. I’m grateful to have rediscovered my creative center, and I’m excited to share this next chapter. I’m fully back, with more jungle and ambient experimental releases on the way! “The mix was recorded in Melbourne a few days after my experience at Diega, a beautiful outdoor festival, or bush "doof" as Australians call them. The mix is essentially resuming a day in a doof. It starts with slow/chill sounds in the morning, moving towards groovy afternoon euphoria, and finally ending more techno oriented for evening vibes. I want to dedicate this work to the people I spent time with during the last two months I've been touring, in Australia and Asia!”

Clarisa Kimskii is a Brooklyn-based DJ, producer and resident of both the Brooklyn-based, queer party Merge and Volnost in Seoul. Her pure, yet passionate approach to DJing has graced the decks at international institutions such as Berghain, Tresor, Basement, Khidi and Amsterdam’s Ratherlost party, plus festival appearances at Taiwan’s Organik Festival, North America’s The Great Beyond, Honcho Campout, Sustain-Release and Japan’s Rural Festival.
For MNMT 453 Clarisa presents an assemblage of both timeless and modern grooves, with ethereal ambient techno delicately drifting into a swirling vortex of trippy alien synths, expertly mixed for a propulsive and atmospheric trip.

As we turn the page to 2025, we find ourselves reflecting on the powerful moments that defined the Monument Festival last year. One such memory was the opening ceremony led by the incredible Sarah Wreath. A sonic experience that set the tone for connection, introspection, and renewal.
The intention behind Sarah’s live set was clear: to create a meditative space where festivalgoers could connect deeply—with one another, the natural surroundings of Veggli, and, most importantly, with themselves. It was more than music; it was an invitation to embark on a transformative journey, bridging ancient and modern worlds through sound.
Her performance blended electronic synthesis with acoustic elements, weaving together indigenous, ethereal, and psychedelic sounds. The result was a hypnotic tapestry of tribal ambient rhythms, designed to ground us in the moment while opening our hearts to new possibilities.
Central to the experience was the use of pure tones tuned to 432 Hz and 216 Hz, frequencies known for their cosmic harmony and healing properties:
432 Hz, often called “natural tuning,” resonated with the rhythm of the universe, fostering relaxation and emotional balance.
216 Hz, a harmonic counterpart, enhanced the meditative quality of the performance, drawing listeners deeper into themselves.
A standout element of the ceremony was Sarah’s use of a Chao Gong, amplified with a contact microphone and enriched with FX processing. Its deep bass frequencies (110 Hz) created a grounding effect, while layers of Tibetan singing bowls and other meditative instruments brought a celestial dimension to the soundscapes. Together, these elements formed a sonic portal—a sacred opening to the festival and the year ahead.
As we welcome 2025, we hold this memory as a symbol of renewal and intention. Sarah’s performance wasn’t just the beginning of the festival, it was a new beginning for all of us, a reminder of the power of music to heal, connect, and inspire.
Here’s to carrying that spirit of harmony and connection forward into the new year. May 2025 bring even more moments that resonate with the heart and soul.

Chloe has released on Tresor Records, Blueprint Falling Ethics. In addition to her career as a DJ and producer, Chloe is a cellist—her debut instrumental full-length was released in November 2024—and Chloe is also the senior producer of Resident Advisor, where she hosts and curates talks and music workshops at festivals like Nuits Sonores, Dekmantel, Unsound, Wire, and many more.

At Varden, the fusion of nature and music becomes reality, and Detroit-based artist Erika made it her playground. The Monument Family moved as one, a sea of smiling faces and dancing bodies flowing in sync, like waves in an ocean. Carried by her deep, hypnotic, and atmospheric sounds.
Dancers look on with childlike awe at the projections on the surrounding trees around Varden, painted by light in all of the colors of the rainbow. Smoke is suddenly coming in from the side, taking the shape of fog you can see over water sometimes. Time moved in slow motion, and all that could penetrate the fog was laser beams. It felt like being inside a lightning storm in a cloud. The ultimate synaesthesia vortex unfolding right before our eyes.
Erika’s music felt alive, creating moments where the boundaries between nature, technology, and human connection blurred. As if the trees Varden was built with helped her to fine-tune the sound. Those who danced that night weren’t just hearing techno, they became one with it under the stars.

Sandrien is known for her versatile take on techno and igniting dancefloors all around the world from Japan, to Georgia to Berlin and of course Amsterdam, where she was a former resident of the legendary Amsterdam venues De School and its predecessor Trouw. In 2022 Sandrien set the dance floor of Monument Festival ablaze and here now for MNMT 447 she lays down another outstanding mix.

“Thanks for the invite to do a mix for you, I have very fond memories of playing at the festival in 2022! It was a beautiful experience playing in the mountains with sweet, caring staff and visitors! Commanding the highest levels of sonic alchemy, master shaman Woody92 unleashed a masterful session of deep cerebral hypnosis atop the Spanish Pyrnees mountains to close out the second night of Paral·lel Festival 2024. With each track laying down a new piece of the puzzle, Woody intricately assembled together a masterpiece while simultaneously disassembling the minds of the mountain dwellers.
As the horns signalled the closing of the session and all pieces were perfectly placed the tour de force was complete, leaving the dancers left trying to piece their minds back together.
