This week a number of shifts have happened in Las Vegas. To start, Delano officially became the W Las Vegas even if it will take years for the renovations to complete. We also saw a new penthouse at Resorts World and Hyatt's bombshell return to the Strip. They are partnering with Venetian/Palazzo, but is this a good fit?
In other news the FTC has enacted sweeping new rules for disclosure of concert junk fees and hotel resort fees. It's about time! We also discuss the new Caesars property, old school crazy slots, UNLV's epic season, another new Vegas sports team, Horseshoe's penthouse and giving sports parlays as Christmas gifts.

This week we got word of another Vegas area casino closing. Primm has long struggled with three casinos that have seen much better days. For years the area has struggled but this week we got word that the oldest casino may be closing for good. Along with the closure comes other shakeups. The big question is whether any of the casinos in this area can survive. What will it look like it five years?
In other news Fontainebleau Las Vegas turned one year old this week. After sitting abandoned for over a decade the property has had mixed results, but it brings a uniqueness to the Strip. What does it need to be successful? This week as F1 continues its slow tear down in Las Vegas we learned that a popular mall along the course will be expanding.
