Well hello there, it's lovely to see you again, thanks for stopping by. It's always a pleasure to have new returning and new visitors to our show. On this week's podcast, we have a fantastic local artist who has been blazing his own trail for nearly 2 decades. Please welcome to the podcast, Steven Cox.

A guest that we had tried to have on the podcast before and technical difficulties made us unable to publish his podcast, so we are incredibly grateful to have him back and sit down with us. Steven shared his initial artistic loves and how he eventually migrated to being a hip hop beat maker and lyricist. He was definitely happy to talk about his challenges and how he has been able to push through them.

Steven is such an awesome guest, and a really good sport. Being part of the OBC, he quickly established himself as a creative force, a truly gifted artist. Make sure you check out his podcast and all of our other amazing guests we have had on!

Well hello there, it's lovely to see you again, thanks for stopping by. It's always a pleasure to have new returning and new visitors to our show. On this week's podcast, we have a fantastic up-and-coming artist who is blazing his own trail. Please welcome to the podcast, Shane Arthur Watts aka SAW.

SAW approached us via Facebook and asked if we would have him on as a guest and, being the easy-going team that we are, we said of course and invited him on. WELL, what a roller coaster! SAW has seen and done a lot in his time and has lived a life that most of us can't even fathom. Through all the challenges he went through, he has come out the other side a champ and, with help from former guest Maggie Coco, SAW is a recording artist and is making music his way and it's awesome

Shane was such a cool and genuine person with a very unique look but like so many of our former guests, he has heart and spirit and fire so we had a great time talking with him. Make sure you check out his podcast and all of our other amazing guests we have had on!

Unfortunately, the technical issues we had with our photos meant that we had to use some of hers, however they beautifully reflect who she is as a wonderful person.

Welcome to the world of the Northland Artists Conversation. This is the second of 2 older podcasts that we are spotlighting because of their incredible power and how important they are when we first started this amazing journey. Please join us as we revisit the amazing podcast from creative extraordinaire Angela Rowe.

Having begun her creative journey in Auckland, she forged a career as a Mac operator, a projectionist and in arts education. Later moving to Whangarei, she completed a Master of Fine Arts through Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design, Auckland in 2020 and has formed the Collective Practise; a group of artists, including former NorthTec graduates and other excellent local artists.

Angela was such an amazing guest to have on the podcast, and she spoke about the challenging times she found herself in during lockdown and how she was able to transition that into her creativity. Angela has also become a huge advocate for funding and has become an important figure in helping artists secure funding and grants for their work.
