  • The USC Triple-Double Podcast returns with co-hosts Shotgun Spratling and Connor Morrissette (aka Mr. Triple Double) talking about the first look at USC men's basketball's completely new roster in action following a pair of practices open to the media.
A jealous Shotgun peppers Connor with questions about what he observed during the practices of both the new coaching staff and all the new players. He also inquires about what Connor was able to glean from the conversations he's been able to have with the players following the practices.
But first, an entertaining and enlightening conversation with new assistant coach Michael Musselman, who isn’t only entering his first year with the Trojans but also his first year as a full-time assistant after spending five years on staff at Arkansas in a variety of roles from director of recruiting to director of basketball operations. Musselman breaks down life in the "portal house" in Manhattan Beach and discusses how the USC coaching staff went about putting together a new roster from an almost entirely blank slate, including the types of players the Trojans were hunting and how they were able to sift and sort
The podcasting duo also look at the draft selections of Isaiah Collier, going with the penultimate pick of the first round No. 29 to the Utah Jazz, and Bronny James being picked by the Los Angeles Lakers at No. 55 after James' agent reportedly told any teams other than the Suns or Lakers not to pick him or he'd spend the season playing in Australia.

  • In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back in studio taking a look at USC's post-spring roster as the Trojans head into the 2024 season, the first in the new-look Big Ten conference.
The guys start off breaking down the players head coach Lincoln Riley picked up in the spring transfer window with former UCLA wide receiver Kyle Ford, former San Jose State receiver Charles Ross, former Auburn receiver Jay Fair, former Florida State cornerback Greedy Vance, former Georgia Southern kicker Michael Lantz and former Wyoming defensive lineman Gavin Meyer. They look at where USC stands scholarship wise and where else the Trojans could be looking to add some talent before fall camp.
They also discuss the recent huge recruiting weekends for the Trojans with lots of high profile prospects visiting campus as Riley tries to build on his talent base the old fashioned way, through high school recruiting.
Finally the guys will preview USC's first appearance at Big Ten Media Days coming up in July.

  • Shotgun Spratling and Jack Smith return on the Dedeaux Download Podcast to wrap up the 2024 USC baseball season with Trojans' head coach Andy Stankiewicz joining the show to provide insights as we look back at a Trojans' season on the road with USC not having access to their home field on campus.
Stankiewicz talks about the Trojans' pain of coming so close to a regional berth for the second year in a row and what he talked about with the players after the Pac-12 Tournament. He also discusses the building blocks the team continues to take as it tries to break through to the postseason and back into the national landscape.
After talking with Stankiewicz, Shotgun and Jack take a look towards the future of the USC program. Step one is addressing the names that have already entered the transfer portal after the season's end. Eight rostered players are currently in the transfer portal including one name that caught Jack and Shotgun by surprise mid-recording: Jacob Galloway. After a strong sophomore campaign, the Trojans' stalwart catcher looks to potentially be on the move.
To wrap up the episode, Spratling and Smith hand out their end-of-season awards while revisiting their preseason predictions (Hint: there were some incorrect picks). From best hitter and pitcher to most impactful newcomer and the what could've been award, Jack and Shotgun discuss some of the top individual performers and moments of the long season.

  • Shotgun Spratling and Jack Smith return on the Dedeaux Download Podcast to wrap up the Pac-12 Tournament, breaking down USC baseball's run to the championship game, battling to make the title game against regular-season champ Arizona. The Trojans needed a win to take the final Pac-12 title and the NCAA tournament automatic bid, but ultimately they ran out of gas, watching a 3-0 lead and a Caden Aoki no-hitter disappear in the final three innings before ultimately falling to the Wildcats on a walk-off winner that featured a bang-bang play at the plate.
The Trojans got excellent starting pitching each of their four games, led by Aoki's masterpiece in the championship and William Watson earning himself some money with the best start of his short USC career.
They fought through close games, rallying to beat Utah's career saves leader Micah Ashman before having to hold off Oregon and Cal with both getting late opportunities with the tying run at the plate.
Shotgun and Jack break down all the action from the week in Scottsdale and take a brief look forward at what USC's final push this season will do for the program in the future.

  • Shotgun Spratling and Jack Smith return on the Dedeaux Download Podcast to wrap up the regular season, breaking down USC baseball's sweep of Utah in the final weekend of the regular season to get above .500 for the first time this season while climbing to 17 Pac-12 Conference wins and the No. 4 seed in this week's Pac-12 Tournament.
The Trojans got outstanding pitching all three games, led by the continued excellence of ace Caden Aoki, who threw four scoreless innings as he continues to work his way back to full strength after missing more than a month with a shoulder injury.
Shotgun and Jack break down all the action from the weekend before previewing the Pac-12 Tournament, including chatting with USC head coach Andy Stankiewicz as he joins the show from a Scottsdale hotel room after the Trojans' six-hour bus ride.
Stankiewicz talks about what the return of Aoki as well as Bryce Martin-Grudzielanek has meant for USC as it moved some other players back into more comfortable roles. He also discusses how things change going into the tournament in desperation win-or-go-home mode this season and what it means for the program to climb up to a fourth-place finish in the Pac-12 for the second year in a row.

  • Shotgun Spratling and Jack Smith return with another episode of the Dedeaux Download Podcast to break down the three-week period for USC baseball before the Trojans begin the final weekend of the regular season. During the three weeks, USC saw its at-large hopes officially dashed while going 6-6 with series losses at Arizona State and to California. The Trojans enter the final weekend carrying a three-game win streak after rallying to win a road series at Washington State and taking a midweek road game at Gonzaga.
The 25-27 Trojans had been without ace Caden Aoki for a month, which really impacted their pitching, particularly the starting pitching. The weekend rotation has been in flux for most of the season due to performance and/or injuries, which has been one of the primary causes of USC floating around just below .500 rather than being able to ascend to their full potential.
Shotgun and Jack break down all the action from the three-week stretch in their 'Three Up, Three Down' segment where they look at both the positives, including William Watson, the return of Aoki and the breakthrough of Ryan Jackson, as well as three negatives from the week, including a lack of come-from-behind success this season, Austin Overn going on a 3-for-33 slump and the Trojans not seeming to be able to pick each other up when a mistake is made.
The podcasting duo also take a look at where USC stands, breaking down the Pac-12 standings where the Trojans enter the final weekend in sixth with a chance to climb potentially all the way to No. 3. To do that USC will need to sweep Utah in the Trojans' final home series of the season. Shotgun and Jack look forward to the upcoming action between USC and the Utes.

  • The USC Triple-Double Podcast returns with co-hosts Shotgun Spratling and Connor Morrissette (aka Mr. Triple Double) breaking down an extremely active offseason for the USC men's and women's basketball programs.
Shotgun and Connor dive into USC men's basketball's new-look roster after nine transfer portal additions, highlighted by the Thursday addition of Big East Most Improved Player Desmond Claude from Xavier. They look at what each of the new transfers bring to the table and how their game could translate for the Trojans with almost all of the additions taking a step up from the mid-major level. Shotgun and Connor then pick their starting fives from the current roster of Trojans with one scholarship spot remaining.
After a short break, the podcasting duo look at the released Big Ten opponents for the 2024-25 season and try to decipher what exactly it could mean for the Trojans and the amount of travel they may have to endure.
The final segment of the Triple-Double Podcast is a discussion about the impact and implications of the Women of Troy landing former Pac-12 foes Kiki Iriafen and Talia von Oelhoffen in the transfer portal, bringing in two elite talents to fill the void caused by the graduation of Ivy League transfers Kaitlyn Davis, McKenzie Forbes and Kayla Padilla. Is is now championship or bust for the Trojans?
