We apologize for the delay! This episode was actually recorded the day Kat went into labor and with a newborn at home, it has been much harder to get things done! But we are getting back into it and episodes will be out every Tuesday morning again. This week we sat down with some of Kat's siblings to see how it was growing up with her and we also talked about how Kat's siblings are finally becoming aunts & uncles for the first time! We are all so excited about Baby Matilda's arrival. Thanks for tuning in!!

We found a list of questions to ask your partner before you have a baby with them! We were cutting it close asking each other these questions weeks (or days!) before our baby gets here, but it was still fun! We answered the following questions, but the article attached below has a ton more if you want some conversation starters for your partner: What kind of relationship do you want your kid to have with your extended family? Are holidays going to be our family or extend family? Thoughts about religion?Talk about things you liked and didn’t like about the way you were raised and if there are changes you’d like, how will you make those happen? What thoughts do you have about evenings/weekends and caring for the baby vs. some alone time? What ways can I be kind to you at time when you are exhausted and stressed? What dreams do you have for our baby? Holiday traditions? What are you looking forward to about being a parent? What are you looking forward to in seeing your partner as a parent? This weekend we celebrated our first baby's heavenly birthday. It did not go as planned as we ended up in the hospital that we delivered her in on the same day, one year apart. It was definitely a unique experience having to face the trauma of losing her so head on, but the day was filled with so many mini miracles and little Edie winks. We feel strongly that she guided us here this weekend. We also announce the winners of the giveaway of the 352 items for reviewing our podcast! If your username was mentioned (after the 32 minutes mark), please DM us on our Pond.ering instagram & we will get that sent out to you ASAP!

HI! Welcome to the Pond.ering Podcast. We are your hosts, Nick & Kat, and in this episode we want to give you a little rundown of our story. We have been through many ups and downs in our almost 5 years of marriage and each of those experiences has played a huge role in shaping our relationship & life together. Today we are discussing our infertility journey, Nick's azoospermia diagnosis, donor conception, IVF abroad, losing our first baby girl, Edie, and then trying again after that devastating loss. All of this is to give you some insight and context, but we promise not all episodes will be this heavy or lengthy. We love to have fun & travel. We plan to have inspiring guests & have lighthearted conversations & get to know you as our audience too. We cannot wait to keep Pond.ering the big & small things with you!!
