On this episode of the Pop Culturist, we find out what makes a movie remake excellent or bad.

This leads Ross, Josh and Chad to discuss what remakes they enjoy, think are less than stellar, and what movies they would like to see remade.

On this episode of the Pop Culturist, we discuss the differences between the Marvel Cinematic Universe + the DC Expanded Cinematic Universe and the nuances of each universe.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) was launched in 2008 and includes films like Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Avengers, and Guardians of the Galaxy. The MCU began with Iron Man and currently ends with its latest movie Thor: Ragnarok.
The DC Expanded Cinematic Universe (DCEU) is a little younger, and by little, we mean a lot. The DCEU launched in 2013 with its debut film Man of Steel and now includes movies like Suicide Squad, Batman v. Superman, and the incredible Wonder Women. The latest film in the franchise is Justice League.
Ross, Chad, and Josh take time to compare and contrast what makes each great and where each falls flat. Also, in this episode, the gang gives you an update on What’s Going On and the Current Culturist, a quick look into current media at what one person on the team is currently hooked on in culture + entertainment.
