Daniel Cormier in the studio this week. In a one sentence summary: DC is an all around great human being.

He, Kamaru and Henry have a long history, and this hour-long conversation shows you just how much shared respect these three champions have for one another.

The guys hit it all in this one. DC's time as an NCAA and Olympic force, and the inspiration he was for budding fighters...Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman included.

The Cael Sanderson rivalry, or lack thereof, as DC might say. DC's perspective on missing the 2008 Olympics and how it changed his life forever. Deeper on that subject, how does luck, motivation and preparation come together to breed success.

How does showmanship and celebrity change fighter trajectory in the UFC? Speaking of celebrity: Jon Jones. DC discusses the impact that the 'baddest man on earth' (Dana's words) had on his career, we talk Jones' upcoming fight against Stipe, and where the reigning reigning Heavyweight champ sits among global athlete superstars.

DC's palpable friendliness and positivity is even more appreciated when you understand the hardships he carries with him. He opens up about the loss of his daughter, and the mindset and compartmentalization necessary for surviving the heaviest of losses.

Humans at DC's level have a special drive that never fully leaves them. He shares how that drive for growth has translated into life beyond the octagon.

We close this one with some much deserved words of appreciation from Kamaru and Henry - and from all of us fight fans. Thank you, DC.

    Enjoy!

Umar Nurmagomedov. If you've been living under a rock... jot that name down. Henry knows more about the bantamweight division than just about anybody and he'll be the first to tell you: Umar is a bad MF.

On the agenda: fighting on the world stage as a Nurmagomedov, and what's it like to have the 'Khabib' advantage?

How did Umar feel about his 5-rounder against world #4, Kamaru's good friend and training partner Cory Sandhagen?

We also get Umar's prediction for Merab vs. Suga (with the advantage of 20/20 hindsight). And, what's the rising star think about all these Bantamweights ducking him?

The best base for a transition into MMA. The future of the legendary Nurmagomedov gyms. Surpassing Khabib’s records. Tons of good stuff in here.

    Enjoy.

Merab Dvalishvili is a world class fighter, internet troll, and all around likeable guy. He sits down with P4P before his UFC 306 Title Fight at The Sphere against Sean O'Malley.

The guys get into modern day internet trolling in the UFC - an art that has transcended language barriers and builds rivalry narratives. Remember when Henry learned like two words of Russian to sh*t talk Merab, and Merab went full Mexican pride on stage? Times were so much simpler back then... but really, who doesn't love a good twitter war or tiktok skit.

On a more serious note, a big debate on early stoppages and referee interjections ensues. There's been a few referee debacles this year to say the least. In all fairness, the P4P team couldn't even agree on a perspective... though that's pretty typical for us over here.

So, what if Merab wins? Umar, a trip up to his friend Ilia, a rematch for Triple C? We cover it.

Closing remarks from Henry with some insider tips and tricks from his experience with Suga, and then a good ol' debrief with the guys.

Today's bonus episode features the one and only: SUGA Sean O'Malley. And it doesn't even take a full minute for the sh*t to hit the fan...

    Watch and see for yourself.

After what might be the fastest interview in UFC history, Henry airs it all out. For conciseness' sake, we'll title that section a breakdown of the Sean vs. Merab bout, but enjoy all of the extra drama that comes along with it. Unshockingly, Kamaru and Henry have two different predictions for the title fight at UFC 306 Riyadh Season Noche.

Henry also has some big news about his plans for Flyweight - a sure thing unless one potential scenario comes out of this weekend...

After a wild first 15, we get into the rest of the Main Card at UFC 306, where our cohosts continue to battle back and forth on predicted outcomes. Who you riding?

Special end segment dedicated to Canelo and Edgar Berlanga who also fight this weekend for Mexican Independence day. You heard it from Kamaru first; Saturday night is a fight fan's dream.

We're back with another episode and even more antics... shirts optional this week.

There's been a LOT of chatter around the Welterweight division, and even a...country song diss track?!? Kamaru takes time to address the rumors. We'll let him do the talking on this one.

Last week, Henry was clipped in an interview considering a venture back down to flyweight - Kamaru's got some questions, Henry's got some words for the Flyweight division.

Catching up on things outside the Octagon, Henry is underway with construction of his Arizona duplex, and Kamaru's African Knockout Championship held its 5th Fight Night of the regular season last weekend. AKO talent continues to grow as one AKO fighter, Josias Musasa, was just invited to compete in Dana White's Contender Series.

And, of course, a look at this weekend's UFC Fight Night Burns vs. Brady. For the main and co-main events it's a tale of experience vs. the hungry contender. Spoiler alert, the guys aren't seeing eye to eye on this one.

Edgar The Chosen One Berlanga faces off against Canelo Alvarez in a title match that has multi-belt implications for the Super Middleweights.

Berlanga is the undefeated WBA #1 Super Middleweight. 22-0-0 with 17 KO’s, 16 of which came in consecutive first round knockouts. Brooklyn Born from Puerto Rican parents, his heritage plays perfectly into the storied Mexico vs Puerto Rico boxing rivalry. Just in time for Mexican Independence Weekend September 14th.

Saul Canelo Alvarez is, well, Canelo. Pound-for-pound great, 4 division champ, Mexican super-star, a generational talent who many would call the face of modern boxing. He puts his unified WBA, WBC and WBO belts on the line against Berlanga.

Last week we heard from Canelo, now it’s time to talk with the young contender.

CANELO ÁLVAREZ on Pound 4 Pound.

Canelo joins Kamaru and Henry on P4P just 3 weeks out from his title fight against the undefeated WBA #1 contender, Edgar Berlanga. The two Super Middleweights enter the ring with Canelo’s unified WBC, WBA and WBO world titles on the line.

First thing’s first - let's clear the air between Kamaru and Canelo, the boxing match that never was (despite a less than friendly twitter exchange between the champs).

And then the guys hit a few hot topics… Why Edgar Berlanga? And, going deeper, a look at the historic practice of “champion’s discretion” when it comes to boxing superstars selecting their next opponent.

What’s it take to excel on the business side of boxing? Also on the docket are David Benavides, Terrance Crawford, and weight class respect... speaking of weight class, is Canelo open to a jump back up to 175?

UFC 305 delivered. Izzy vs. Dricus was "exactly as advertised." The guys break down the fight, weigh in on the "true African champ" narrative, and play out potential scenarios in the middleweight division, which has even the likes of Alex Pereira circling for another crack at the belt.

Kai Kara France came off two losses and went toe to toe with Steve Ercig, right after Astroboy had a go at Pantoja for the Flyweight belt. Kai wins, and Kamaru plays matchmaker for the flyweight division (watch out, Hunter!).

Hooker and Gamrot was exciting and there's plenty of praise from the P4P hosts around Hooker's performance. He didn't call any specific names out during the Octagon interview so the guys forecast potential matchups.

Tai Tuivasa vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik really puts into perspective the danger of Francis Ngannou...remember that 20-sec knockout in 2020? The judging on this one was suspect - with one at the table having Tai up 30-27.

Carlos Prates impressed Henry and Kamaru and the guys believe UFC will keep building him up as a force in Kamaru's Welterweight division. Li Jingliang is no slouch but the accuracy of Prates broke him down. Where does Prates go next in the WW column?

Triple C is back and so are the antics in this week's episode of Pound 4 Pound.

The guys catch up on Henry's trip to the Paris Olympics - and Triple C's run in with Khamzat Chimaev at the games. Speaking of fighter fans... Henry confronts Kamaru about the Belal Muhammad Twitter beef last week. Why the hell did Henry and the P4P pod have to catch some strays?! C'mon Belal :(

Alright, down to business. UFC 305 has a main card filled with potential home runs. Izzy and Dricus, Erceg, Tai Bam Bam Tuivasa. A lot of fighters taking the stage in their own backyard makes for great storylines - will the fights match the hype? Let's get into the breakdowns.

This week looks a little different in the Pound 4 Pound studio as Kamaru is joined by a new world renowned USA wrestling icon... Magic Man David Taylor. The two wrestling legends meet and Kamaru wastes no time getting into it... what happened back in April when Aaron Brooks upset the entire wrestling world in a win against the former Gold medalist.

If nothing else, those trials showed just how dominant USA Wrestling has become on a global scale - which is why "6 2024 Gold medals in 6 weight classes" isn't necessarily a wild prediction for David Taylor. What changed in the wrestling world that catalyzed such a national dominance? Regional Training Centers, a multi-generational room at Penn State that will go down in history, premiere coaches and staffs regularly serving lifelong tenures. Few men have more knowledge and appreciation of USA wrestling than the ever humble David Taylor, so sit down and enjoy a legend's perspective.

Decades of victories had to come to a close at some point, right? Even the greatest have downfalls, and evidently the best of the best don't get much time to wallow in regret... David got a phone call before he even processed his loss at trials, accepted the coveted role as Oklahoma State's head coach, and was on a flight before the first headline dropped. For anyone curious about Magic Man's plans for the historic OSU program, enjoy the final 10 minutes of this one.

Also included in this week's episode... Cael Sanderson has Kamaru Usman's number?? Excuse us while we go dig up this mysterious video that may or may not be titled Two Minute Go - Cael Sanderson and Marty Usman

For all the P4P wrestling die hards, this one will bless your Thursday morning.

    Enjoy.

UFC 304 has been described multiple times by multiple sources as “not exactly a barn burner…” but there is plenty to talk about over here in the P4P studio.

First, who better to give us an analysis of Belal Muhammad’s fight plan and execution against Leon Edwards thank the Nigerian Nightmare. Three matchups later and Kamaru Usman knows all there is to know about Leon’s battle plan and takedown defense, two things that Belal walked through without any issue. Head drop takedowns, level changes that led to back control, and more significant strikes landed with more than double thrown… Belal got it down in almost every way.

So what next? Well, Henry knows who he needs to ask and wastes no time. Kamaru gives us two answers for what he thinks about an Usman vs Muhammad matchup, one from the fighter and another from the realist. Then the guys map out a few welterweight scenarios for a division that Belal just blew wide open.

Tom Aspinall is making the case that he’s the best active heavyweight in the world; Kamaru certainly thinks so. Just 3 minutes and 37 seconds: Aspinall’s total fight time across his last 4 UFC fights. Is defending an Interim Belt getting to the point where it feels a little ridiculous? What should be the next Heavyweight title matchup, and where exactly does Jones fit into all this?

Paddy surprises the guys with a dominant win over King Green. Bobby let Paddy ease into the fight instead of putting it on him, and Paddy made the King pay with a quick and dominant second round. One thing is certain, Paddy Pimblett is unapologetically himself and that in itself commands respect.

Gregory Rodrigues vs Christian Leroy Duncan and Arnold Allen vs Giga Chikadze round out the main card. Quick analyses before we stop over at the Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape narrative, which culminated in an anticlimactic unanimous decision on the undercard. Kamaru speaks on the consequences that come along with fights that don’t deliver.

Cory The Sandman Sandhagen is one of the most likeable dudes in the UFC; known for an approach to MMA rooted in intentionality, thoughtfulness and strategy. He joins the guys ahead of his upcoming bout against Umar Nurmagomedov in Abu Dhabi August 3rd.

The guys discuss Umar's fight style and what makes him dangerous, and why the rankings don't tell his full story. They dig a little bit into Cory's past fights - both victories and defeats - that have shaped him into a well-rounded, universally dangerous MMA fighter rather than a one dimensional killer. And credit to the world class coaches who have embedded champion tactics into The Sandman, who's taken years to polish his grappling after the Aljamain Sterling loss.

We wrap up with a Sean v. Merab breakdown and prediction as well as Cory's vision for his own battle on August 3rd.

    Enjoy!

The buzz around UFC 304 has been surprisingly quiet; Kamaru and Henry are here to help.

Before 304 breakdowns and predictions the guys take a quick 10 minutes reacting to the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry boxing match that took place this past weekend. Naturally, the guys have slightly different views on the bout, the performances from both men, and that not-so-subtle Pereira callout from Jake. What's a fight between Paul and Pereira actually look like? Let the debate begin.

Alright - time to get into the action of UFC 304: Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad 2. A widely anticipated main and co-main event preceded by some sneaky and not-so-sneaky matchups.

This week's Underdog picks aren't out yet but Henry and Kamaru are ready to tell you who they see with their hand in the air Saturday night in Manchester. Arnold Allen vs. Giga Chikadze is a tale of great striker vs. a great kicker. Can Allen avoid (and survive) enough powerful body kicks from Giga and find the chin? We can count on a standup battle one way or another.

Kamaru has high praise for Gregory Rodrigues' toughness... "you're gonna need a baseball bat and two friends..." but Henry notices a pattern in hometown fighters in England getting favorable matchups by the UFC. The guys have different predictions and equally terrible english accents. Sorry in advance.

Does Paddy have the threshold to survive King Green - a fighter who was able to find 186/319 significant strikes in a decision win over veteran Jim Miller? Paddy has showed resilience against Tony Ferguson, but King Green poses a new challenge for the relatively new fighter in the UFC.

Curtis Blaydes vs. Tom Aspinall hits close to home for Kamaru, a friend of Blaydes. Both men agree that Curtis will have to mix in his wrestling to find success, but Kamaru assures Henry that the striking game of Razor Blaydes is nothing to sleep on. On the flip side both Kamaru and Henry recognize Tom's ability as a heavyweight who has combo speed and consistent movement. It's a split decision for the guys.

Leon Edwards vs. Belal Muhammad is another one that has the Pound 4 Pound studio torn. The freestyle fighter style of Belal has Henry reminiscing about Khabib, and both guys have equally technical, though differentiating reads on the Palestinian. Triple C has a feeling that the current mentality and inspiration of Belal makes him the favorable fighter, but if anyone has a credible read of Leon Edwards, it's Kamaru; and Nightmare is sensing that Rocky is going into the title defense confident and technically sound.

Don't say the boys aren't dedicated...Henry and Kamaru jump online for a quick record during a heavy travel week. On the docket is a walk down memory lane as they both reminisce on their time in USA Wrestling Junior Nationals over in Fargo, ND, where Henry is currently.

Kamaru gives us an insider view straight from his seat at the analysts table during UFC Fight Night in Denver last week. Thug Rose stole the show, Henry's cracking an egg on his head, and Kamaru has been impressed by a relatively new rising star in Montel Jackson, who had met the Nigerian Nightmare years ago.

This weekend is another sneaky good card... more than a couple fights have the guys excited. Bias aside, Mohammed Usman opening the Prelims with a heavyweight bout sets the stage for an eventful evening. Some old favorites are resurfacing... read: The Korean Superboy is back in action. Bruno Silva vs. Cody Durden is another one to keep an eye on. And in the very same night, Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry step inside the ring.

Beyond Saturday's UFC and Boxing events, there are a few distant and not-yet official matchups that, despite both those adjectives, are worth a quick word... and best of all, Kamaru gives us his take on what a potential WW opponent looks like for his return.

To close out the call the guys debate their Olympic matchups in a randomized Decathlon of sports outside of wrestling; Shot Put, 100m Sprint, Gymnastics, 100m Freestyle, Beach Volleyball, Ping Pong, Tennis, Breakdancing, Diving and Golf. Kamaru leaves as heavy favorite...

    Enjoy.

Before the guys get into it this week, there are a couple of recent outfits that needed to be addressed... Frozone and a nude captain America make their cases.

Then, Kamaru and Henry offer some insight into the artist's struggle, commenting in particular on Alex Pereira and Shakur Stevenson. How frustrating is it to succeed in the cage only to be met with criticism and doubt outside of it? Triple C is a master at ignoring the hate, but not everyone copes so naturally. Case in point: the hate that Kamaru got for his "30%" statement back in the day, which caused him to stay offline for a few days.

Not everyone takes a break from the internet though... enter: Shakur Stevenson's Twitter. The guys stumbled upon an "It Is What It Is" segment where hosts Mase and Cam'ron fired seven straight minutes of damage at the WBO Super Featherweight, in response to a few tweets Shakur posted earlier in the week. Kamaru and Henry offer sage words to Shakur, from the fighter's perspective. Criticism is inevitable, knowing how to ignore it, and even use it, is essential to success.

Okay - time to address Saturday Night Fight Night in Denver Colorado. Tracy Cortez is taking on Rose Namajunas and this one hits close to home.

Kamaru and Rose are old teammates, and he's seen enough power from the former UFC champion to know she can beat nearly anybody. On the flip side of that coin, Henry trains every day with Tracy Cortez out in AZ, the young star is even living with his brother as she trains for Saturday's matchup. In other words: the P4P podcast is split on Namajunas vs. Cortez.

Net Net: SOMEONE'S CRACKING AN EGG ON THEIR HEAD.

Yes, it's true. Kamaru backs Namajunas, Henry backs Cortez, and loser takes an egg to the dome.

There are plenty of other fights to be excited about this week, too. The guys break down a few of the other matchups they're excited about. And, even a few that never happened. Stay tuned until the end to hear about Kamaru and Henry's top "Fight That Never Was."

    Enjoy!

Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo jump into the studio to react to an exciting professional boxing bout that hosted a ton of impressive names, inside and outside the ring.

Five years ago, Masvidal bested Diaz in the octagon and a beef was born. After an increasingly tense promotional tour that included a street brawl between Diaz and Masvidal crews, the former UFC stars, known for their striking and ability to endure pain, squared up for 10 rounds in the ring. When the final bell rang, Diaz got the nod after what many viewers felt was a neck and neck fight, with Masvidal landing some hard-hitting blows but Diaz taking them in stride and playing the numbers game to out-strike his way to victory.

The headliner wasn't the only bout that delivered; the undercard had multiple stars at all places in their career. The Co-Main Event matched up Daniel Jacobs and Shane Mosley Jr., where the son of Sugar Shane Mosley pulled off a dominant win over the former Middleweight Champion. Also on the card was former champion Anthony Pettis and rising star Curmel Moton, who is backed by Floyd Mayweather.
