Richard Allen was charged with the murders of Abby Williams and Liberty German in October of 2022. If you’re unfamiliar with this case, we’d recommend you listen to episode 10. On this episode, Mallory walks us through the 130 page motion filed by Richard Allen’s defense team. The motion outlines why they believe the October 2022 search of Allen’s home should be thrown out. Their reason? They say that investigators withheld evidence from the judge to get the search warrant approved. The alleged evidence is a rabbit hole filled with white nationalists, ritualistic killings, Odinism, and runes. Is this just a sensationalized attempt to get their client off the hook? Or is there some truth to their claims?

What do you do on your downtime at work? Mallory discovers teensy weensy islands in the South Pacific. Tonight, Mallory tells us about one of those islands, specifically Pitcairn Island. It has a population of less than 50 people and by all accounts the people seem happy and friendly. The island is beautiful and the people of Pitcairn are eager to grow their population and become completely self sufficient. But the population is dwindling. Not because of how isolated they are, but because of a horrible history full of disgusting secrets. (Trigger warning: sexual abuse)
Then Ashley dives deep into the world of reality TV. Specifically the story of Tomoaki Hamatsu (or Nasubi - his stage name). In 1998, Nasubi, a 22 year old aspiring comedian auditioned for a mysterious reality show. As luck would have it, he would be the star! But little did he know, he would be isolated, starved, and manipulated for over a year. The show was a hit - which leads us to the question - what does this say about us as a species?

Infamous Redditor ReligionOfPeace was best known as a moderator on a barely legal subreddit called r/jailbait. This subreddit was a predator breeding ground and ReligionOfPeace further promoted his depraved interests by way of an image hosting site called That Old Guy's Image Host. One day, ReligionOfPeace vanished off Reddit and another user by the handle 2-6 claimed that he had passed away. The post was suspicious - full of bizarre spelling errors. Online sleuths began to dig into ReligionOfPeace, 2-6, and the website lakecityquietpills.com where they discovered mysterious messages hidden in the source code. Messages that seemed like they were not meant for the public eye. Who is ReligionOfPeace and what is the true purpose of Lake City Quiet Pills?
