Imperial Assault and IACP were at Adepticon for another year for 2024! Once again Brendan played in the Imperial Assault tournament along with his entire family this time, and has joined me to share his experiences at Adepticon 2024. Sorry for audio issues, the main audio recording was corrupted so I had to use my backup recording files. Check out Brendan Born's work over at / born_miniatures

Season 9 for IACP is here! Now that we're on a 2 season per year timeline, we're doing less cards but a shorter playtesting period as well, and we've included some bangers in this season, including everyone's favorite fuzzy cuddly murder bear! Krrsantan! And Ewoks are here too!

After a 5 month break, we have a special podcast episode for you all to enjoy. Joey and Wesley join me to talk about our experiences playing with the new Season 8 cards for IACP now that the playtesting period has ended and we're into full on competitive play. We also talk about the new map, Wasskah Hunting Grounds, and we cook up some new list ideas with Kuiil from Season 8.

This is a long one, because we're diving deep into the steps of performing an attack in Imperial Assault! Ever wonder why Brace for Impact has to be played before Assassinate, or why a surge for Stun won't stop Greedo's Parting Shot? We discuss all that and more, plus some more of our experiences with season 8 playtesting so far, and my retro format in-store tournament report from May 6th.

We're now 1 week into playtesting Season 8 cards as of recording this episode on Sunday April 30th. TVboy and Secondflock dig into their experiences playing with the new Season 8 cards in their 8.0 playtesting forms. What cards have stood out, questions have arisen, and where we think things will go from here.

Now that the entire card file for Season 8 has been revealed, I can share this episode with TheSecondFlock where I get his first reaction to all of the cards. This is completely new to him here, he has never seen any of the cards at this point, including 1 card that got changed the day it was spoiled.

We're back! In this new episode, Wesley and I go over the new (but old) skirmish map rotating in for IACP, the Tarkin Initiative Labs. We also talk about the current progress of the IACP Season 8 Community Makes the Card event, Wesley's current Edge of Oblivion Campaign playthrough, rules questions about how exactly Assassinate works in IACP, and profound and insightful question about complexity in IACP from a listener.

TheSecondFlock is flying solo this week without TVboy, but he's brought a guest along. Brandon aka Irnkman started playing IA back in the day but sold his collection before the game was completed. Now he's back to dip his toe into the IACP version of the game and share his thoughts as someone looking in from the more casual side of things.

We go over the recently announced Community Card Design Process for the upcoming Season 8 of IACP coming in April of 2023. Well at least TheSecondFlock does as the 2nd half of my audio recording got corrupted! Thankfully he did most of the talking in our main topic because I'm' still fighting a nasty chest cold that makes it hard for me to talk. But at least I get to talk a little bit about some of my experiences trying out the Imperial Commander 2 app for the first time and replaying the Lothal campaign years later after giving it a low grade in my previous tier ranking video.
The vote for the first Week of the design project is coming up on January 27th, so make sure to get your idea submissions in before then!

In this 2 part episode, we take a look at the current stats for IACP Season 7 after 2 tournaments and 1 competitive league. This data is based on 35 tournament matches and 57 Vassal game logs that were sent to me by our players, for a total sample size of 92 games.
We got a bit into the weeds at the end going into individual card win rates and popularity, so I've split up the episode into part 1 and part 2, with part 2 going into the most popular cards in each faction.
