In 2001 VH1 debuted the show Bands on the Run. It was a massive hit, yet it only lasted one season... We felt like it needed much more attention.
In the wake of Flickerstick's reunion (long after Soulcracker, Harlow, and Josh Dodes threw in their towels), we have decided to break down this insanely dated time-capsule of what-the-f*ckedness and talk with other touring musicians, friends, and music journalists about what they got wrong and what they got right.
For this episode Ian, Nat, and Ross are forced to close this chapter of their lives with a fond(ling?) look back with BOTR expert: Jon Wurster (the Mountain Goats, Bob Mould, The Best Show, and more).
You can watch every episode of the show for free on youtube HERE. Catch up and catch the magic.
Jon will be hitting the road next month and you can/SHOULD buy tix HERE
Make your days infinitely better by following Jon on instagram for peak content by clicking HERE

Ross's band Burial Waves will be playing with homies CASPIAN August 1st at the 930 Club in DC. You can get tix HERE

Ross goes borderline punisher on Steve Moore about all things John Carpenter, Tangerine Dream, Goblin, and of-course the newest album from ZOMBI: "Direct Inject".
Keyboardist and bassplayer Steve Moore came through to talk all things film scores, got nerdy on synths, and how touring has evolved over the decades for bands like Goblin and his band ZOMBI.
ZOMBI's latest album is available now on all platforms via Relapse Records, scope their bandcamp page for everything you need.

Thousands of horror movies. Hundreds of franchises. But only ONE that has stayed consistent: "The Evil Dead". (ALMOST) Every week (or maybe months at this point), the team here will be examining an installment in the franchise with special musician guests.
This week Ross, (Ur)Ian, and Nat are joined by Chris Slorach of METZ and more to discuss one of the most quoatable and fun installments yet: "Army of Darkness"
Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up! In this episode, we stay on topic the whole time... We don't talk about Puppet Master films, Robocop's affair with Oreo cookies, Seinfeld, or anything else... this is dead serious, and there are ZERO laughs during this chat. You got that??!!

Thousands of horror movies. Hundreds of franchises. But only ONE that has stayed consistent: "The Evil Dead". (ALMOST) Every week in October (and now into November), the team here will be examining an installment in the franchise with special musician guests.
This week Ross, Ian, and Nat are joined by Nick Yacyshyn to discuss the entry that maybe rebooted, reenvisioned, or ruined(?) the franchise: 2013's "Evil Dead"
We talk about gore, horror studios, reboots, drums, and so much more.
There is a deeper dive into this film over at the rigs of dad patreon page, with an extended and unedited version of this chat, as well as early access to other conversations in queue, and more. Head over to the Rigs of Dad Patreon Page where you can also hear more unedited, ad-free interviews with previous guests, patreon exclusives, and beyond!
Ross put out an album under the name COGENTS. It's available wherever you listen to music and highly recommended for those looking to scratch their ambient itch.
Ian and Nat have a new 7" from their band Strangelight and you can keep up with them at their bandcamp page.

J. Robbins is likely a household name for any true music fan. Joe Hall should be right up there with him. Since 2006 his band Hammer No More the Fingers has been putting out rock with more hooks than a bait and tackle shop. They are celebrating the release of their third LP, "Silver Zebra", THIS friday via Defend Vinyl Records, and will be throwing some release parties early november WITH J. Robbins and his incredible band.
It is in your best interests to listen to ALL of Hammer No More the Fingers's music, wherever you do that these days, as they have not had a miss in their catalogue so far; AND much of that has to do with their 15-year, working relationship with J. Robbins! So this is a fascinating conversation for anyone in a band that wants to get an in depth look into the journey behind some of music's best offerings ever.
Get all things Hammer No More the Fingers at their Bandcamp Page and tickets do their release shows at Rubies here.
Keep on the up and up with J. Robbins music at his bandcamp page and make your record sound amazing by booking time at The Magpie Cage.

For this episode Ian, Nat, and Ross are joined by the lovely Rayshele of Harlow to celebrate their exit from the show in pt 1 of a 2-parter-party in Tampa.
You can watch every episode of the show for free on youtube HERE. Catch up and catch the magic.
If you want early access to these episodes (+ the extended version of this episode), head over to the Rigs of Dad Patreon Page where you can also hear more unedited, ad-free interviews with previous guests, patreon exclusives, and beyond! PLUS early access to other episodes. AND billing has been paused for the month of July.
Ross put out an album under the name COGENTS. It's available wherever you listen to music and highly recommended for those looking to scratch their ambient itch.
Ian has some MUST LISTEN TO MUSIC over at the Interesting Times Gang Bandcamp Page.
Nat and Ian have some tunes you must check out. Keep up with all things Strangelight by Checking out their BANDCAMP page for all the details.
