  • In this episode of RunPod, Jenni is joined by the host of The Fortune Hotel, Stephen Mangan.

Stephen is a man of many talents, he’s also star of shows like ‘Green Wing’, ‘Episodes’ and ‘The Split’. He’s an author, a radio presenter and best of all he is a runner. And a pretty nifty one at that.

He might be one of the busiest men in showbiz but he stays sane with running, although we have no idea how he fits it all in. He’s currently training for a duathlon but still found the time to chat to Jenni about why running is so important to him and how it benefits him.

It was a joy to chat to Stephen and it will be a joy to listen as you head out on your run.

Enjoy and of course, happy running.

  • Today, Jenni is joined by the incredible Adele Roberts, a well-known figure in British DJing, radio, and television.

Many are aware that Adele’s journey has been marked by resilience and strength.

In recent years, she bravely battled bowel cancer, and despite the toll of treatment and the tough days that have followed, Adele remains a ray of sunshine, demonstrating that even in the darkest times, it's possible to find the strength to persevere and take each day one stride at a time.

Adele is amazing, and inspires us to transform our hardest moments into lessons whilst maintaining a positive attitude, no matter the challenges we face.

Her new uplifting memoir, 'Personal Best,' is available now.

  • Jasmin Paris is the first female runner to complete one of the world's toughest annual races - The Barkley Marathon.

Taking place at 'Frozen Head State Park' in Tennessee, USA, the incredible 100-mile race involves five loops of 20 miles, with 60,000 ft of ascents and descents - which is double the height of Mount Everest from sea level.

Pushing through brambles, and other forest obstacles Jasmin was 1 of only 20 people to complete the race, which started with the blow of a conch shell and the light of a cigarette...

With 99 seconds to spare from the 60hr cut-off... she did it. And now she's on RunPod to tell the tale...

  • In today's episode, Jenni sits down with the extraordinary Anya Culling, whose journey from novice runner to one of the fastest female marathoners in the UK is nothing short of incredible.

Anya is pure sunshine, and her story is living proof of the transformative power of running and shows how “ordinary” people possess extraordinary potential.

What started as a way to improve her mental health during lockdown quickly turned into a passion that would propel her to the elite ranks of marathon racing.

Her secret to success? prioritise the enjoyment of every run.

For Anya, running isn't just a sport—it's a lifestyle, a source of fulfillment, and a celebration of our body's incredible capabilities.

From completing her first London Marathon in 2019 in 4 hours and 34 minutes to achieving an astonishing time of 2 hours and 34 minutes the next time she ran it, Anya's journey is about the power of persistence, passion, and joyful dedication.

Oh, and did you know she’s a massive RunPod fan!!!!!

With new episodes available every Tuesday and Thursday, starting 5th March.

  • How does Alcohol affect your running? Here to tell us how is co-founder of One Year No Beer, Podcaster and Author of the Best Seller '28 Day Alcohol Free Challenge' - Ruari Fairbairns.

Ruari is a former oil broker, who listened to the whisper in his mind that said the amount of alcohol he was consuming was holding him back.

In the UK many people still find it difficult to cut back on drinks because of the social aspect. We still live in a society that says "Alcohol is amazing!" "It's so much fun!" "Come to the pub!" despite us knowing the damaging effects on our health.

The reality is, alcohol makes us feel anxious, tired and sluggish and stops us from being the optimal versions of ourselves.

Ruari has the occasional glass, so he's not here to preach "never drink again", but he will leave you with things to think about...especially when it comes to feeling good enough to go for a run.
