On this weekās episode of Scaling Life, Iām sharing my best strategies for taking back control of your calendar as an entrepreneur.
We only have so many hours in a day, so itās crucial that we spend them doing things we love instead of drudgery. Iāll explain my step-by-step system for figuring out what tasks you should delegate, automate or outsource so you can focus on your zone of genius.
Key Takeaways:
- As a founder, you should be spending your time only on work you enjoy and excel at - not doing tedious tasks just because you think you āhave toā
- Write down everything you do in a typical week, breaking it down hour by hour. This awareness helps you make better choices.
- Categorize each task as: Donāt like/Not good at, Donāt like/Good at, Like/Good at, Love/Great at
- Delegate or outsource the first two categories so you have more time for passion projects
- Every quarter, re-evaluate how you spend your time using this system
āThere are people out there that loves doing the things that you hate and are not good at. They love them. It's the best thing in the world.ā

In this weekās episode of Scaling Life, I sat down with Petter Erik to tackle a tricky topic - how much conviction and certainty should you have when coaching clients? As mentors ourselves, we walk a fine line between confidently guiding entrepreneurs down a proven path while still leaving room for them to find their own way.
I share my own journey from initially feeling uncomfortable promoting our methods to fully owning my expertise. Petter Erik weighs in on why clients actually crave certainty from coaches, and that itās our job to clearly map out their steps to success.
We also dive into:
- Why some entrepreneurs bounce from idea to idea without taking action
- How your values and authenticity builds clientās trust
- Why weāve focused our niche - we canāt be all things to all people
- The criteria we each use to choose our own mentors
- Taking responsibility when a program isnāt the right fit
A few powerful quotes:
"People are choosing a mentor or teacher to be told what to do. They want a clear process, they want someone to say, like, first you do this, and then you do this."
"When you're a mentor, you need to be more certain than the person you're mentoring that this will work. And then they start to believe it."
"I want a mentor that is challenging my belief system, because I think if I'm going to get better...it needs to be someone who's challenging what I have believed all my life."

In this week's episode of Scaling Life, I sat down with Sadie Lawler, an entrepreneur and mom who left her career in TV production to start a business helping women heal from injuries.
We covered a lot of ground in this motivating discussion! Here are a few highlights:
- Sadie shares how she overcame being told by doctors that her condition was permanent and untreatable. Her "no one decides my limits but me" attitude ignited her healing journey and later business.
- I ask Sadie how she balances ambition with family responsibilities. She talks about how fear led her to unintentionally push her daughter away and why she now prioritizes fun quality time together.
- We discuss the importance of surrounding yourself with people at a higher level so your big goals feel small. I relate how joining Dan Sullivan's mastermind flipped my perspective on taking time off.
- Sadie stresses how essential inner spiritual work has been for maintaining motivation and overcoming obstacles. I share how I push myself outside my comfort zone to keep a youthful mindset.

I had an enlightening discussion with my friend and Scaling Life Podcast producer, Kurtis Goodwolf in this week's episode where we explored the elusive concept of authenticity.
What does it really mean to be true to yourself? How can we break free from society's rules and judgments to embrace our most authentic voice?
Kurtis shared profound insights from his journey as a musician busking on the streets of Dublin, to working on some of the worlds biggest podcasts like Ben Greenfield Fitness, Mindvalley and Well Beyond 40, and about the work it takes to strip away our habitual patterns and dig deeper.
Key takeaways:
- Why we craft personas to conform to expectations and how to rediscover our inner truth
- His brilliant tactic for helping people hear their real voice
- Why podcasting is the perfect tool for growing yourself, your brand and your business
- That the bravest act is taking the stage, not how perfectly you perform
- How the spark of an idea you initially doubt is usually your most authentic self
"You gotta go old school. You gotta turn off your social media. You gotta turn off your phone. You gotta turn off your devices. You gotta put that time aside on a daily basis and really think about āāWho are you?" - Kurtis Goodwolf

In this week's episode of Scaling Life, I'm sharing my thoughts on killing the "Law of Jante" - societal rules that keep people small - once and for all.
Episode Highlights:
- The 10 limiting rules of the Scandinavian "Law of Jante" and how they made me feel
- Why comparing ourselves to others and trying to fit in does us no good
- The problems with thinking in "us vs them" and trying to be part of the "in crowd"
- Icelanders hadn't even heard of the Law of Jante - they are more adventurous and self-confident
- My belief that every human has way more potential than they are actually living up to
- The importance of letting our own inner light shine without fear of judgment
- Tips for breaking through self-limiting beliefs and assumptions
- Quotes from thought leaders like Marianne Williamson on embracing our uniqueness
"When you let your own light shine, you unconsciously give other people permission to do the same." - Marianne Williamson
This was a personally transformative episode for me. I hope it inspires you to let your freak flag fly and kill any rules holding you back from your potential.

In this episode Iām talking about how AI and automation tools can help entrepreneurs scale their business and achieve more freedom. Here are some highlights from this episode:
AI is opening up opportunities if we use it with the right intention - to enjoy life more and help others. But we need to stay in the driver's seat.
Tools like Reclaim are helping me organize my calendar and priorities in a whole new way. AI + humans are powerful!
Using AI for content creation helped me finally create a webinar Iād been stuck on for months.
Scared of losing your expertise to AI? Focus instead on how you can use it to enhance what you do best.
AI expands how we think - being around āsmarterā tools makes us humans smarter too.
If you ignore or resist AI, you could get left behind like Kodak. Jump in now while itās early!
āAI is really helping us to speed up our dreams and what we really want to do with life.ā

In this weekās episode of Scaling Life, I get real about my lifelong struggle with comparing myself to others - and why it only leads to feeling inadequate and like a failure.
Episode Highlights
I explain how comparing myself to the best traits of different friends left me constantly feeling "not good enough"
I discuss how comparison between two people is mathematically invalid - we're too multi-dimensional
I share how people's natural strengths may not be your strengths and vice versa
I advise focusing on developing your innate talents rather than weaknesses
I urge listeners to get clear on their own priorities over external markers of success
Quotes from Me
"You're comparing yourself to the sum of others - not any one person. Because Anne didn't have Sophie's exercise habit and Sophie didn't have Peter's career."
"We compare our messy insides to others' shiny externals - no wonder we feel inadequate!"

On this week's episode of Scaling Life, I open up about what my commitment to personal development really means - and what it doesn't.
Episode Highlights:
I've called myself a personal development "junkie" for years, but that doesn't mean I'm on a quest for unattainable perfection.
My journey is about continuously learning, growing, and trying to understand myself better - not following rigid rules.
Some days it would be easier to avoid reflection and just blame others, but personal development is a commitment to asking myself hard questions.
It's being curious about my own thoughts, reactions, and limiting beliefs that were programmed in me as a child.
I used to think taking care of myself was selfish, but self-love actually makes me a better person.
Personal development is about embracing myself fully, taking responsibility for my own happiness, and living a meaningful life.
Quotes from Me:
"The more I dive into personal development, the more I understand all the small things that happened when I was young and how they actually affect me now."
"I realized I have all these things where I wasn't even allowing myself to try and change the category."
"The commitment to personal development is when I wake up feeling crappy, I ask myself what is this? What do I need?"
Listen to the full episode for more insights on why I'm committed to continuous growth, while also being patient and generous with myself.

On this weekās episode of Scaling Life, I share the story of how Petter Erik and I made the huge decision to uproot our family and move from Norway to Vietnam.
- I discuss the conflicting emotions I felt taking my kids away from everything familiar and stepping into the unknown. Although the move felt scary and insane, deep down my intuition was pushing me to take the leap.
- I talk about the importance of trusting your intuition when making big life choices, even if the decision seems illogical. Relying too much on over analysis can take you down the wrong path.
- I explain my thought process in weighing the risks and potential regrets of staying vs. going. I realized Iād regret it more if I didnāt at least try.
- I share how itās crucial not to get stuck overthinking how to make the āperfectā choice. Every option will have positives and negatives. At some point you just have to jump.
- I give my perspective on how challenges are meant to help us grow and evolve. When life throws you curves, embrace them and learn.
āWhen faced with this big decision, I asked myself what would happen if I didnāt go. And I got a brutal answer from my soul, which was āIf you don't go, you will die.āā
