Can classic monsters be resurrected? Is this movie more spectacle than substance? Are horror remakes always doomed to fail? Ocean and Ray try to answer these questions, while also talking about aspects of The Wolfman that some wouldn’t stop to think about. A realistic examination of families with scarred pasts? Check. Breaking the traditional monster movie formula? Check. Why YOU should consider/re-consider watching this movie? Double check! Ahhh ‘Brightburn’ ... who would have thought that a film penned by the Gunn brothers would end up a film worthy of the Silver Linings treatment? This was supposed to be an absolute slam dunk of a super-horror-fest! Our experience with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ set us up right proper for the initial run of this movie. Reviews were deeply mixed, but many of them said the premise was full of potential that ultimately didn’t deliver. It’s time to find some silver linings.
