Excited to feature one of my favorite San Francisco DJ's Billy Casazza. I first heard him play at Burning Man and was so excited to learn he was based out of California.
Billy's sound is always full of surprises. His understanding of musical textures and colors, mixed with rhythmic forward motion creates a non stop energetic and attention grabbing mix with each performance.
Lets give Billy Casazza some social media love my liking his pages:

Hi Everyone,
Its been a minute since we showcased a guest DJ on the Sound and Machine Podcast! No better way to start then with Darin Epsilon. He is an international DJ and producer, host of Perspectives Digital podcast, and nominated as Best Progressive House DJ in 2016! Darin has released music on Perspectives, Katermukke, Sudbeat, Einmusika, Selador, Parquet, Warung, and collaborated with Hernan Cattaneo, Robert Babicz, Betoko, John Graham aka Quivver, Matt Lange, Matthew Dekay, Cid Inc, Omid 16B (S.O.S.), and Chris Fortier, among countless others.I got to know Darin, while we both lived in Chicago, back in the mid 2000s. Darin now lives in Berlin, after an extensive stay in Los Angeles.
I am so excited to be able to feature him. He is talented, he is a super nice guy, and his production and remixes are top notch.
Lets show Darin some love by following his social media links while we enjoy his one hour set. Thanks again Darin for sharing your beats.

The final feature on the "ReV!S!T" segment is British based, London duo C-Sytems aka Starro and Aki.
Just this last August, C-Systems released a single that was featured on Armin Van Buuren's "A State of Trance" show. The title of this track is "Time" with Hanna Finsen, on Raznitzan Music.
If you are just tuning in, I am reposting about 15 mixes from the 2009-2010 era from a hard drive that I thought was long lost. The current podcast "Sound and Machine" used to be called "Chicago Tranceformation" as I was still living in Chicago at the time, and my DJ alias used to be "Zita Zie". The podcast host-platform went away, and the mixes with it too. I thought "oh-well" back then, but now years later, I have a greater appreciation how the music scene has evolved the last 11 years, and I think its only fair to give these old mixes a new life, instead of just letting them get lost in the internet void.
In this segment:
First Hour DJ mix - C-Systems
Second Hour DJ mix - me as Zita ZieThank you all for tuning in for this musical detour.
Stay tuned for brand new material coming after October 1st, 2020 from the bass music and techno scene.Cheers!

Check out his newest August 2020 release "Netherworld", now out on Beatport!

Ashley Wallbridge needs no introduction. He has become a house hold name on the electronic music scene this last decade.
He has #1 charting Singles and #1 charting Albums across the globe which reminds us that Ashley is one of the top DJ's, sound engineers, and producers of our time.
I am so excited that back in 2010 he exclusively made a mix for Chicago Tranceformation, which is now called Sound and Machine Podcast.

Hey all!
Thanks for tuning in for another ReV!S!T episode. The music is coming from my hard drive that I thought I lost from the late 2000s, and recently found. Woot!
Back in the day the predecessor of the current "Sound and Machine" podcast used to be called "Chicago Tranceformation" as I still lived in Chicago, and back then my DJ alias was "Zita Zie".
This particular episode is featuring Scottish producer and DJ "Liquid Vision". His real name is Martin Newstead, whom I met back at the Miami Winter Music Conference in 2008. He is so talented and a very cool artist. His music has been supported by such big names as Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Markus Schulz & many more!
Liquid Vision's music is taking up the first hour, then it is my turn to play the second hour in this segment.
Cheers!Zita

Today's mix is CRAZY!!!! I cannot believe I did this back then but it happened. Its going to be a 4 HOUR MARATHON featuring 3 GUEST DJs: Jon Swink (Cleveland) , Pete Gil aka Gato Gil (Chicago), Jason LeMaitre (Seattle). The fourth hour is me throwing it down.
Back in the day, the predecessor of the current "Sound and Machine" podcast used to be called "Chicago Tranceformation" as I still lived in Chicago, and back then my DJ alias was "Zita Zie".
As time went by, life changed, styles changed, and as an artist I have grown and evolved. I am so excited to share glimpses of Chicago's nightlife from the 2009-2010 era.
Cheers!

Hey all!
Thanks for tuning in for another feature from my 2009 hard drive that I thought I lost, but then I recently found. Woot!
Back in the day the predecessor of the current "Sound and Machine" podcast used to be called "Chicago Tranceformation" as I still lived in Chicago, and back then my DJ alias was "Zita Zie".Today's mix is featuring Tempo Giusto from December 2009, who has accomplished some AMAZING things in the last 11 years. He is a top charting Armada label producer, he has been featured by Insomniac, ASOT, and by many more production crews and festivals world wide. He has also release on Black Hole Recordings.
I am so proud of you Tempo Giusto and congratulations on your amazing success in this last decade.

Finding such great joy re-featuring episodes from my first ever podcast running during late 2000s. It was called Chicago Tranceformation, and at that time I still lived in Chicago, and DJ'd under the name "Zita Zie".
I recently found a hard drive thought long lost, and OMG it has a bunch of exclusive mixes that would be a sin not to share. =D
In this episode, Scuba K is the guest artist, playing the 1st hour, and then I got the second hour.
Enjoy the time travel back to the 2009 dance floors!

Found my old hard drive from the late 2000s that had a bunch of my first podcasts backed up on it.
The current "Sound and Machine" used to be called "Chicago Tranceformation" as I was still living in Chicago at the time, and my DJ alias was "Zita Zie" at the time.
Enjoy this upcoming 2 hour trance podcast that first aired in August 2009.
The first hour features an exclusive guest mix from Blake Jarrell (Armada), and the second hour is filled with one of my DJ mixes.
Cheers!

Hey all!
Years ago, before Sound and Machine was "Sound and Machine" this podcast was called "Chicago Tranceformation", and I used to dj under the alias "Zita Zie". It was an amazing time for dance music. Trance dominated, underground parties and mega clubs were a thing, and the electronic music scene was fireworks. So good =)
It was also an era when podcasting was still in its evolving stages and online dance radio stations started to gain major traction: such radio stations were ASOT, ETN, DI.fm., and many more!
Chicago Tranceformation was syndicated with several, including ETN, but after a wonderful year of doing it, I decided to ease up on the podcasting.
I thought the original hard drive storing these mixes was fried or lost - but I just found it - and had 10 amazing two hour mixes on it featuring various guest DJs from around the world.
Today we are re-broadcasting the September 2009 episode:
1st hour: guest DJ Kelly Trance aka Kelly Goldstein https://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/kellytrance
2nd hour: me as Zita Zie from Chicago
Enjoy the music!

Recorded a mix during lock down to free my thoughts after a day of intensity. Strange times, living during a worldwide pandemic. We are so lucky to have internet and ways to connect with each other despite being far and isolated from each other. Did you know that in 1918 the human population went through something similar? It was called the Spanish flu. Feeling blessed to live in current times vs back then, as we have better medical knowledge and way cooler technology.
Enjoy the chill tunes and cant wait to see you in person when the stay home bans are over! I miss the festivals, the night clubs, and most of all you, my community. Cant wait to give hugs to friends and dance together again!!! -
Had a blast playing a Friday DJ set at Burning Man 2019 at Distrikt. The Distrikt crew's production at the burn always blows my mind: shade structure, open bar, top notch music by local and international artists, good vibes, water guns, misting stations, friendly people, amazing sound system - oy! The list just goes on. Shout out to Camp Enchante, the Hungaroid crew, and the lovely friends from the many corners of the world who said hello during my set. Burning Man is always like a big "framily" reunion - and 2019 was no exception.
Love,
Zita
