We're tackling to subject of accountability and it's not just holding others accountable. We can't expect others to take accountability unless we are accountable for ourselves first.

In this episode we talk about realizing when your walls are going up and if your walls are helping you or hindering you. How can we be the artist of our own life and give main character energy by not living in the victim mentality for too long.
The Buddah believed that the source of our suffering was that we believed we were something other than what we are. We believe in the character that’s having trouble. Our suffering is that we forget who we are after years of our life and trauma. We put those layers of armor over ourselves to protect ourselves so that we forget who we are. We have to love ourselves and have compassion. Love ourselves unconditionally because our mind has automatic negative thoughts so it’s a quick change from feeling bad to believing I AM BAD. Then sometimes you can have a spiral of automatic negative thoughts. Are these thoughts really yours? Sometimes I just tell myself that those negative thoughts are not mine and I don’t accept them. We have to relate to ourselves with love and respect so that we can relate to the world with an open heart. If we have turned on ourselves how can we be open to others?

We're going there today and talking about feeling your feelings. It's okay to have feelings, it's not okay to ignore those feelings - good or bad. Today we talk about where we think numbing our feelings stems from, shocker, it's childhood. How do you stop being number to your feelings? We tackle the tough topic of anger. Why is it so easy to feel angry over other emotions?
We have been obsessed with the Johnny vs Amber trial and because it's on a break this week we're going through withdrawals. We had to talk about Amber Heard and her ability to not live in reality and the fact that she probably watches her testimony footage and thinks she's the most amazing thing on Earth.
Here is the emotion wheel we're talking about:

In this episode we talk about going through our spiritual awakening and explain what that is. A spiritual awakening is the process of becoming fully conscious of our spirit aka who we fundamentally are, what motivates us and why we truly desire the things we desire. This is done by observing, questioning and challenging our thinking and behavioural patterns that stem from certain belief systems and paradigms we were programmed to believe. This programming started in our early childhood, when we were just beginning to learn about the way the world works and how we relate to it. As children, we didn't have a sufficient level of critical thinking skills to define it for ourselves so we relied on authority figures, our community and environment to (directly or indirectly) define these things for us. This programming then becomes the foundation for the lens to which we view our lives.
Over time, we become so enmeshed in our programming that we forget that there’s other ways of seeing reality outside of the narrow and faulty perspective we were taught to identify with.

In this episode we continue our discussion about healing. Healing comes in stages, like grief. Healing is not an overnight process. It takes time. Sometimes you'll feel like you're finally over something and happy again, and the wound will reopen. Don't give up, don't get discouraged. Take each day 1 step at a time. Just try to be in a better place mentally and emotionally than you were yesterday.
Emotional Healing Stages
Stage 1: Suffering - You are in denial and dishonouring your painful emotions. You may even be self-medicating or self-sabotaging in this stage.
Stage 2: Awareness - You can name what you feel, how you feel, and why you feel a particular emotion.
Stage 3: Confrontation - You confront the emotions you were avoiding and your face your emotional pain.
Stage 4: Expression: You express your emotions by crying if you feel sad, screaming if you feel angry or whatever you need to do to express your emotions.
Stage 5: Acceptance - You are emotionally healed, you have mastered your undesirable emotions, and your pain is gone.
