We kick off this new season with 7 key ideas on how to strengthen your position as a creative teacher or to start working towards becoming one:
Think of yourself as an instigator and leader; Understand that “People want to be led, not taught!” Be a risk taker and share your quest, and with that your mistakes!Bring the ingredients and cook with your students! - Or put another way: “Don’t show up with a finished meal!”Understand that as a creator your product IS the process!Remember that “Necessity is the mother of invention”, so make your teaching relevant by helping solve a problem!Get comfortable with not hitting the mark all the time and not getting it right.Find inspiration by working with artists, dreamers, and go-getters!For more info, contact details, the transcript of this episode visit

My mom used to say to me, 'Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are!'
As a teacher and a trainer, I now ask, 'Tell me about the students you attract, and I'll tell you about the teacher that you are!'
I've now come to what I think is a profound realisation: I am not meant for everyone, and not every potential student is meant for me.

A Kick-Ass Guide to Unfurling Your Brilliance Across the Universe ».
Ce qu’on pourrait traduire sommairement en français par « le super guide pour déployer votre lumière dans l’univers ».

Aki Omori is an explorer of movements and living body-mind. She is particularly keen to explore this through the lens of developmental movements. When teaching, she encourages her students to be actively involved in their own enquiries so that they find their own path that is honest and true to themselves.
Her sessions are known for their explorative nature and are fun and light yet profound.
When working with clients, there will be a dialogue first in order to find out what the client is looking for out of a session, then begin weaving the process together with the client. It might be a combination of an on-going dialogue, guided movement practice or following the client’s spontaneous movement, hands on work, grounding & centring practice, meditation, breath work, drawing, writing, studying through anatomy, psycho-educational talk and discussion. A constant attention is given explicit / implicitly to the state of the nervous system throughout. One yoga student described her “She is poetic, yet grounded. She is experiential yet confident in the benefits of exploring different ‘ways in’ to yoga. She is fluid and inspiring…”
Apart from that, she loves driving, dancing in the park, chopping vegetables with a very good sharp knife!
Aki Omori is a registered somatic movement therapist / educator, is a teacher & practitioner of Body-Mind Centering® (BMC) and holds a diploma in the Integrative Body-Work and Movement Therapy (IBMT), and a qualified practitioner of Neuro Affective Relational Model ® (NARM), which is a form of early trauma healing work designed for adult clients. She is also an experienced yoga teacher.

Julie Martin teaches yogis around the world how to break free from linear, injurious yoga to embrace a practice that is based on how it feels, not what it looks like. She has a reputation for challenging asana myths that hurt and exclude people. She empowers students and teachers alike to own their practice, tap into their curiosity, and trust their own experience.
Raised as a Vedantist, Julie grew up immersed in the philosophy of yoga. As a young adult, she turned to the asana practice to heal from an injury. That was 25 years ago. When yoga began to injure her, she did her research and integrated insights about anatomy, natural movement, range of motion, and integrated stability into her practice and teaching. The result is unorthodox, inventive yoga that moves with the body, not against it.
