This time around Philip is the friendlier phantom, here to guide you through the sewers to room 84 whilst Adam practices his arias, Cev plays with organs and Smokey becomes Madame Smutterfly for one night only.
Elsewhere there's all kinds of Phantoms Of Operas and a look into why there were only 3 Hammer Films released in 1962...

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum! Or is that a coffin full? Along with all the rest of the gin, snuff, cigarettes, them weird stuffed donkeys with the big eyes and tulips from Amsterdam, you could count on Captain Clegg and his cohorts to sneak them under the noses of the taxman.
Has he met his match with the King's best busies? Let's find out!
Cev's cockahoop about everything, Philip's gone poetic, Adam's all about a paddlin' and Smokey's sniffing something in this feature length adventure!

Adam's your guide through The Terror Of The Tongs, a wild and blood soaked adventure from 1961 that bears a few similarities with a previous Hammer film. Will this be wild and blood soaked enough to stand on its own? Only a level headed roundtable discussion will get to the bottom of that.
Elsewhere Philip's love for all things Yvonne sends him multilingual, Smokey gets ganged up on and Cev gets plastered...

SPOILER ALERT!
This is not your only warning. 1961's 'mini Hitchcock' Taste of Fear has a memorable ending that warrants an equally memorable episode for one reason or another...
For maximum thrills, the House of Hammer earnestly urge you to listen from the start to the finish!

Since hitting the screens in April 1961, The Curse Of The Werewolf's reputation has become the stuff of legend. Adam has been looking forward to hosting this, but is it truly a magnificent beast or an absolute howler?

We're back in Hammer horror territory, hurrah!
No vampires or stitched together monsters this time, though. No, it's the sheer terror of a domestic moggy.
Morell, Wheatley and Shelley all return, is this a winner or should it be confined to film history's litter tray?

April 10th, 1961 saw the release of "A Weekend With Lulu" in plenty of time to get the burgeoning Bank Holiday crowds in the mood for heading off to whichever windswept British beach they could get.
Adam, Cev & Smokey get all nostalgic for a time before their time as Hammer goes all Carry On Caravanning.
Do they all like to be beside the seaside?

How could you beat the British Boxing Day Blues? A traditional method is a trip to the local picture house and this big title in 1960 assured audiences of high adventure in the Far East. But did it deliver on that basic promise?

Robin Hood is back! He does look a little different from the last time though.
Either way, Hammer take us back to Sherwood Forest, does this adventure work better than the last attempt?

The adventure continues as Cev takes you around the house to the room with the least looked after door, Smokey becomes a bit of a legal eagle while Ben takes a look at some legless lizards and Adam leads the "Lee Love In".
The Two Faces Of Dr. Jekyll received a bashing from the BBFC, the Legion of Decency and the critics alike. What got them in such a stir? Join the lads to find out...

Welcome to the House of Hammer, a place you're guaranteed to take something away from, even if it's a piece of your own brain in a pickle jar.
Adam's here to guide you around the grounds in his finest white coat with the funny sleeves, Ben discusses the possible highlights of a coma, Smokey takes us for a trip down a well known street and Cev natters on about a legend that nobody speaks the name of (correctly).

After the intensity of the last film/episode Dracula is back to lift our spirits!
Well, he’s not really back.
But there's another vampire problem in rural Transylvania and Dr Van Helsing is returning to solve it!
Plus: Smokey goes bats, Adam has an armful of brides and Cev's gone down the park.

Possibly the most 'adult' film from Hammer, that we are ever likely to discuss.
This really is a tricky one.
But, we hope we can steer you through the murky waters, to truly appreciate what Hammer produced.
The subject matter is harsh, the truth is hard to hear, but it's a story that needed telling.
To help the uninitiated decide if this is for them?

Snakes alive! Film 69 and we're getting all sweaty in darkest India for the final film of '59. This completely factual document* takes in a fistful of fiendishness and grizzly Guignol.
Adam is your guide through this epic transcontinental journey with Smokey taking a look backwards and forwards, Ben getting all Thug like and Cev babbling on about an invisible friend.

Everlasting life - the dream of man and AA battery alike.
We have a look at Hammer's 1959 take on the perils of immortality, as Anton Diffring stars as Dr Georges Bonnet - a remarkably youthful-looking 104 year-old man with a terrible secret...
Ben overcomes oral complications to host the episode, Adam leads the discussions, Cev talks immortality (not at all borne from personal experience) and Smokey takes a good, long look at Hazel Court...

We're un-safely back in Hammer comedy territory for now and making the sort of-most of it with a show that does what it can.
Surely Ben will be happier with this than The Ugly Duckling?
Is it possible this film mirrors any kind of true life situation?
Isn't it about time another Hammer Hero is announced?
All will be revealed.
