Flat corners are hard, Try adding these 4 tips to your riding skills to help you go faster!
1. Look beyond your front tyre so you can read the trails ahead
2. Approach in the attack position so you can absorb impacts and move across the bike easier.
3. Do your braking before you enter the corner to keep the bike working freely around the turn.
4. Keep your outside foot down and lean the bike over, Keep your body over the bike. This helps plant the bike into the ground.
*Tip* Each time you ride try and focus on 1 or 2 elements above to avoid confusion.
Good luck with it and keep practising, Once you have learned how to corner a mountain bike then the rest is easy!

A ridden and rated review of the Marin Alpine Trail 8, I had this bike for 7 days and put this bike through its paces.
I rode a selection of different styles of trail from the big jumps at Revolution bike park to the pedal loop at Sherwood Pines. A great allrounder bike which is really at home on bike park trails.

Llandegla was a little underwhelming after riding so many other great bike parks during the week. But don't take my word for it, Check out the video and make your own decision before visiting yourself.
The facilities at this trail centre are incredible with an amazing cafe and bike shop. Not to mention the pure beauty of North Wales and the forest itself. But i'm afraid thats where the compliments end from me as the trails failed to deliver anything technical what so ever, with a general lack of flow and maintenance.
Don't get me wrong, Any day on the bike is a good day but i just struggled to get excited whilst riding these trails. If you're looking for a cardio workout or you're new to mountain biking then Llandegla is well worth a look. But if you're an experienced rider looking for a challenge then you might want to give this one a swerve.
The trails on offer are a Blue,Red and Black routes with a Skills area to warm up on or session to improve skills which is quite fun, This can be found next to the car park.
If you're interested in finding other nearby trails then be sure to check out the playlist below.

Danny Harts Decend Bike Park delivered the goods! I went for a spin and took a look at a few sections, Theres a few tips in there too which could be handy if you're planning a ride there someday.
The decent bike park is part of the Hamsterley forest but not to be confused with the trail centre nearby.
This place is in true Danny style with big jumps and steep tech downhill trails. It's not a huge hill but you get some decent 2+ minutes runs in.
Be sure to use the uplift which only runs at weekends, the push up is SAVAGE!

Here's an overview of the Dalby Forest trail centre, With some info and insights to help you plan your ride!
The red trail is a huge ride when combined with the black and it comes in at about 25 miles. The red is fairly mellow with a great flow and some leg burning climbs.
The black world cup track was my favourite part which has some steep climbs and more technical riding(Medusas Drop) The Black XC is a loop which you can add onto the red to extend the ride.
Overall great trail centre with a few dull sections but you soon forget about those when you get to some amazing single track and fun flowing trail. A Great day out for riders who are bike fit or want to build on that.
For nearby accommodation i would highly recommend the Yorkshire cycle hub which is an amazing facility for riders which loads of great riding on its doorstep.

Leeds urban bike park is not for everyone but is it somewhere you should have on your bucket list?
Lots going on here from Pump tracks, Big Jumps, tabletops and a mini xc loop with some fun features! Awesome place for us to progress skills with riding for all levels but mainly aimed at intermediate/begginer.
Leeds bike park is awesome for a quick blast but you could happily spend all day here too. It's a completely man made centre. If you're looking for a natural big mountain ride then look elsewhere, but if you want to play around on the bikes and practise jumps then this is the one!
It has an site cafe and bike shop too.

Sherwood pines trails are set on a HUGE forest in Nottinghamshire! One of the original trail centres in the UK and is home to a handful of mellow trails that are perfect for a family day out!
The Kitchener trail is the main mountain bikers trail coming in at roughly 13kms around with a tidy jump section which was a highlight for me personally. Roughly 5/6 jump lines from beginner to dirt Jumps as well as a mellow DH section with a few flowy trails. Also keep your eyes peeled for the secret track to find the best of the place.
Loads of activities going on here with a great setting for a relaxed day with the family, Make sure you bring your BBQ!
Massive thanks to Dan for taking part in the podcast, one of the owners of Sherwood Pines Cycles. You can find out more about his shop and bike hire here - http://www.sherwoodpinescycles.co.uk/.
