  • Alex is here to help me answer the question of, “What is it like being in an interracial relationship when the topic of race is so divisive?”

We’re sharing when and how race gets brought up in our home, if our interracial relationship affects our work, and how we’ve come together in parenting our current and future babies. And friend, this is just our take! We don’t speak for every white man, black woman, or interracial couple.

  • Y’all know how important exfoliation is to me but it doesn’t end with my skin. As you reflect on this year, I want to encourage you to look at the people in your life and ask, “Am I being too nice?!”

In this chat I’m bringing you into what I’ve learned about being too nice and therefore overcompensating for the people in my life. Whether that’s family, friends, or employees, their trauma is not their fault but their healing journey is their responsibility, not mine and not yours.

The reality is not everyone is coming into the next season with us. Our responsibility is not to heal others but to allow them to step into their healing journey. So friend, are you too nice?

Whether this is the first chat you’ve listened to or you’ve been around since season 1, thanks for being here friend! Binge the show to hear our other chats and find my New York Times Bestselling memoir, Nothing Is Missing, on Amazon or your favorite bookstore!

  • In previous chats, we’ve talked about the expectation and pressure that exists to support our parents (especially for those of us who are first generation!) We were raised to stand in the gap of everyone else’s mess, even before building something of our own.

The impulse to help everyone else before we help ourselves can burn us out QUICK and when you burn yourself out, you can’t help anyone.

Friend, there is no return on investment when you are training people to use YOU as the resource.

  • I wish I could say that this is one of those chats where I have the answers, but the reality is it just isn’t. I’m struggling with this and if you have any answers or can relate, DM me. I receive it, friend!

I’m heading to Atlanta for a business dinner soon and it’s bringing up feelings of grief and reminders of my former life. It’s like when the babies head to college and you go into their room and wish they were still there even though you know it’s right that they aren’t.

If there is anything I’m learning it’s that the future doesn’t look like what you think it’s going to look like. The future is always better but maybe in a way that is different than you expected.

Wherever you’re at right now, this isn’t the end. The journey is still continuing and God has incredible plans for you.

  • Is it a privilege to be able to submit to your partner?

At one point I thought submission was the problem, I mean just reading that word my make you want to run in the other direction.

I get it and that’s why this chat is spicy and necessary.

The fact is some of you may just not get this but those of you that do, GET IT.

When you trust and respect your partner so much that you can submit to them it’s a gift. And that’s what I’m trying to teach my girls who are all at different places in dating.

Friend if you’re shaking your head yes and need more understanding on what submission can look like in a healthy (but imperfect) relationship, grab a seat and let’s chat.

Thanks so much for being here. I’m unguiltable in my thoughts are submission but that doesn’t mean I don’t want to hear your thoughts too. Drop me a message on IG at https://instagram.com/nicolewalters or over on YouTube at https://nicolewalters.com/youtube

  • Friend, I was nervous to hit record on this one because I’m telling on myself again. In this chat we have expert Corrine Stokoe here to chat about co-dependency and how it can sneak into every aspect of our lives.

  • Is putting down our businesses the right choice when we’re entering motherhood?

You probably heard this too if you’ve been through the baby season - “Get ready to put it all down for the next few years so you can focus on your family.”

Y’all know my babies always come number 1 but the idea of setting it all down just hits different when you’re an older mom.

In this chat we get to hear from Candace Mitchell, CEO of MYAVANA. Candace has built a hair tech company from the ground up through seasons of being single to getting married and having twins.

I’m so grateful Candace is here to share with us how she integrated motherhood into her life as a CEO.

  • I’m taking you back to the moment when I realized sex was back on the table after divorce.

Friend, we’re keeping it allll the way real in this chat and as you guessed it, this isn’t one to listen to around the kids so grab those headphones!

In this chat we’re covering everything from that moment when I remembered people have sex when they’re dating (and that maybe I could also!) to a memorable waxing appointment and all I learned about getting READY.

Dating and sex after divorce was tougher than it was at 21 but I am also tougher than I was at 21 so I could handle it and you can too. Maybe what you thought was gone is actually just dormant.

Thanks so much for being on this journey with me, friend. Keep sending all the pregnant advice and links and slide into my DMs so I can hear where you’re at too.

  • Friend, you NEED to meet Dr. Jessica Taylor. When I first met Dr. Taylor and learned the level of impact she was making at home and at work, I knew I had to introduce her to you.

From University President to foster parent to founding a leadership initiative, Jessica is doing a lot (by choice!) In this chat we talk about leadership advice for marginalized groups, what Dr. Taylor sees as the main issue with leadership today, and how we can connect with different generations at home and at work.

Plus, we chat about being *healthy* super achievers!

We cover so much in this chat and I believe you’ll leave it feeling enriched both professionally and personally.

  • Do you have people in your life that don’t seem to share your same energy when you win? You know the type - they always have the time to point out how you COULD be doing better.

If you’re a product of Tiger parenting, like me, this feels all too familiar… but not coming from your friends, your team, let alone your partner.

If the red flags are waving then sometimes we need to call it what it is - jealousy!

I know, I know, it’s weird to say, “this person is jealous of me.” It feels vain, it feels snobby, but when we break it down it is what it is.
