Paul Bernardo may have seemed like an unassuming man who had it all together. Nice job, wonderful wife, well to do house and family but he was actually a serial rapist and serial killer who would eventually lure his wife to participate and together they would come to be known as Canada's Bonnie & Clyde and one of Canada's most notorious Killer Duo's.

Todays case is that of the prolific Serial Killer Robert "Willie" Pickton. He roamed the Downtown East Side for decades roaming for women he could seduce with drugs and alcohol and then would murder them on his farm in Port Coquitlam, BC. He is known to be Canada's most prolific serial killer, killing upwards of 45 women from the low track of East Hastings Street in Vancouver.

Tonights episode is a little different Northerner's!! I was asked to be a guest on the amazing Dumbbells and Whiskey Podcast (DBW Podcast) and discuss a case I have already done an episode on! The Richardson Family Murders or as its known as the J.R and Jeremy Steinke Case.
It took place in 2006 in Medicine Hat, Alberta, which is where Dylan (the host of DBW) grew up! He actually knew Jasmine Richardson and gives his take on how things happened, how society took it down there in Medicine Hat and we openly discuss the justice system, its flaws and just how some cases seem connected to certain social aspects! Its a juicy episode! You dont want to miss this one!
Stay tuned for tomorrows regular episode as well!!

Hey Northerner's
Tonights episode is a 2 parter for you. I decided to combine these two murder cases as they both take place in Southern Alberta and they both rocked their local communities.
First is The Richardson Murders, where 12 year old Jasmine Richardson and her boyfriend 23 year old Jeremy Steinke murdered her whole family in the small community of Medicine Hat.
Second is the murder of Lorraine McNab and her boyfriend RCMP officer Peter Sopow at her rural property just outside of Pincher Creek.
Both cases are insane ones and will leave you wondering why....

On October 25 2012 Lacey Jones Mcknight was brutally murdered by her ex fiance Kristopher (Trey) Guenther. This story showcases domestic violence that was never taken seriously by police and multiple police visits and reports ultimately let Kristopher walk away from those instances. This ultimately resulted in Lacey's death.
I am telling you Lacey's story, almost 8 years later because it still matters and stories like this happen everyday..

The killing of Tim McLean occurred on the evening of July 30, 2008. McLean, a 22-year-old Canadian man, was stabbed, beheaded and cannibalized while riding a Greyhound Canada bus about 30 km (19 mi) west of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, travelling the Trans-Canada Highway. On March 5, 2009, McLean's killer, the 40-year-old Chinese-Canadian Vincent Weiguang Li was found not to be criminally responsible for murder and was remanded to a high-security mental health facility in Selkirk, Manitoba, where he was detained until his release on May 8, 2015.

Lindsay Buziak was a 24-year-old real estate agent when investigators believe she was lured to an empty Saanich home on Feb. 2, 2008, by a couple posing as prospective buyers.
Her body was found with multiple stab wounds to her head and chest. Saanich police know two people went into the home with Lindsay, but haven’t found enough evidence to make arrests or lay charges. I will tell you what happened at the scene of the crime and talk about the possibilities of what could have happened. Stay Safe Northerner's! -
In Canada, dozens of women have been murdered or disappeared along Highway 16 in British Columbia. Most are still unsolved. Many of the women are of Indigenous descent. Indigenous women in Canada are four times as likely to be murdered than non-native Canadian women. Today I will talk about the victims, a bit about their stories and a few of the convicted killers.
