Born in Iraq at the height of the war in the country, Ali Al-Hamadi moved to England when he was only a year old, with his family then settling in the Toxteth area of Liverpool.
Speaking to Official Ipswich Town Podcast host Aaron Paul, a friend of Ali’s from his time with AFC Wimbledon, the new signing opened up about his family’s struggles, growing up in one of the toughest areas of the UK and a football journey which has seen him take in several stops, before finding his feet with the Dons.
As well as discussing his hopes for his time at Town, Ali’s reveals the important role religion plays in his life as well as how he’s settling into life in Suffolk and with his new team-mates.
