Beverly returns back from her 3 week trip back home and she gives Lorna the TEA on what she got up to, including a trip to Amsterdam with an OLD FLAME - Lorna is only weak for the outcome! In this episode, there is a Bonus Clip (*insert Spongebob narrator) where the girls have just come from seeing a psychic and they discuss what was said in both of their sessions. Expect laughter, tears and everything in-between!

The girls chat about their full swing on the mines (an emotional rollercoaster). They have received nicknames from their new truckie friends "Princess" and "Sunrise" (guess who is who!!).
Todays topic is the butterfly effect and how one small change can affect the trajectory of your life.
The girls go through their different backgrounds which caused them to meet which lead them to move to Cambridge together at 19 years old which lead them to the raving scene that lead them to find their fave place on earth - a music festival.
This festival changed their whole life! It became the catalyst that pushed them to leave their long term relationships and go travelling and now they're in Australia doing their thing!
All from one small decision...

The girls have just finished their first ever work-away trip (swing) at the mines as traffic controllers. They inform us on how it went but before they get onto that, they catch up whilst Lorna was getting pampered for 6 hours (including getting a witch's finger extension on to her dead toenail), while Beverly napped at home and was awoken to 2 less eggs than she expected.

In this episode, Lorna tells us of a surprise trip back to Ireland for her best friend's 30th (how are we this old?), and how she will surprise everyone in the Rebel County. Beverly reveals the name of her horse from her teenage years and the drama that arose when she went to sell her. They dive deep into how the made a decision to go travelling South East Asia (SEA) after attending their favourite festival, Lost Village, and in turn breaking up with their long-term boyfriends to do so. Lorna admits her embarrassment when she arrived in Bangkok after packing a 22kg suitcase (which had 9 pairs of shoes!) to go 'backpacking' around SEA. The girls reminisce on their times on that side of the world and share memories and quotes which they took down in their notes app for the duration of their 5 months away.

In the pilot episode of The Ones That Got Away, we meet Beverly and Lorna - two Irish girls who have recently made the move to Australia. We learn about the name of the podcast, how the girls met and who they actually are. The girls go back in time to when they thought they had met but realised where they ACTUALLY met (on their 6th year holiday at a tacky pool party) and they have been joined at the hip ever since (11 years and counting). They talk about their time in Australia and what they have learned so far after living 6 months down under - mainly that they are Queens of Procrastination eg. this was recorded in May and it is now being published in July hehehe
