Laasya is responsible for working with the Pensions for Purpose Community, developing content and knowledge, and driving forward collaborative initiatives across the industry.
She is passionate about approaching pensions and investment with a systems lens and understanding how these sectors interact with the wider social and environmental systems they exist within.
Laasya is a CFA charterholder with experience working with a range of asset owners as an investment adviser, with a focus on corporate defined benefit pensions. She is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events, and is also an experienced podcast host, currently hosting the Pensions for Purpose podcast.
Laasya is an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion and is particularly passionate about anti-racism activism. She has previously won the Women in Pensions and Women in Investment Rising Star awards.

Mark Fawcett OBE, CEO Nest Invest Mark joined Nest as CIO in 2008 to design and shape Nest’s investment strategy and has been responsible for investments as AUM have grown from £0 to over £43bn. In 2019 he became CEO of Nest Invest, the FCA authorised investment subsidiary of Nest Corporation while relinquishing the role of CIO in 2023. Mark has been an investment manager for the over 35 years and has managed money at a variety of institutions including as Head of Japanese Equities at Gartmore and CIO at American Express Asset Management International. Joe is Chief Investment Officer of Border to Coast - one of the largest LGPS pools in the UK.
Previously Joe spent 15 years as Head of Portfolio Solutions EMEA for Neuberger Berman and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. In these roles he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Key Strategic/OCIO mandates, Multi-Asset, Diversified Alternatives funds/mandates and structured solutions. Prior to this Joe spent 10 years in Corporate Pension Plan management as Head of Investments at Shell International and as Head of Fixed Income for IBM Europe Retirement plans. Joe has a MA in Economics & Finance from the University of Sheffield and a BA in Economics & History from University College Dublin. He has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
Joe was a Trustee Director and member of the Investment Committee for Morgan Stanley Pension Funds (UK) from 2008 to 2018 and has been an Associate Trustee of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) since 2018.
