Meet Karen, the Deputy Chair of the Aongatete Forest Project. She gives a brilliant summary of the Aongatete Forest Project. We discuss the pest management, failed weka translocations, some rather meta epiphyte translocations, and some innovative ideas for their website. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!

The second interview I did on Tiritiri Matangi Island! This time with Jonathan, one of the Guides that you may come across if you visit the island. Unfortunately a bit of a shorter episode today, seeing that I had a ferry to catch! I organised this recording extremely last minute so had to squeeze it in at the end of my stay... I will have to return for a longer conversation in the future some time.

Meet Andrew, a lifelong friend of mine who has also discovered a love for nature in the past few years. We talk about our unreal experiences staying the night at Tiritiri Matangi Island, his experience as a ranger at a sanctuary on Great Barrier Island, and his plans to record high quality bird songs to share with everyone.
Really had a lot of fun with this one and I hope you enjoy the conversation! I have interviewed someone that volunteers on Tiritiri too. That episode will be uploaded next week.

Meet Shane Maddren, a Kaitiaki Ranger of Project Island Song in the Bay of Islands of Northland, New Zealand.
We discuss some of Shane's background, why he is so passionate about helping these beautiful islands, and his vision for sharing the beauty of nature with everyone he can.
We then talked about some of the amazing work that Project Island Song has done to restore the once desolate islands back to a flourishing cluster of ecosystems, rich with bird life and other incredible creatures.

Unfortunately I had a technology fault and the final 15 minutes or so of the conversation was lost. I am so incredibly sorry that Shane's wonderful insights were cut short. I will do better, and this will not happen again!
Thank you for listening.
