In this expedition we explore the Leo DiCaprio/Robert DiNiro almost horrow movie (in that it's horrific to see the abuse... not actually a horrow film), This Boys Life. A dark place that makes for interesting viewing. Tune in for our thoughts!

In this week's expedition we investigate the rare beast known as young Keanu Reeves in the 1989 Stoner comedy classic Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure. We explore the concept of phone booths as suitable vehicles for time travel, whether Eddie Van Halen would have been a good fit for the Wyld Stallyn and what exactly was Missie thinking!
-
In our latest expedition we explore the cheaply made and surprisngly homoerotic 1987 Action Adventure classic Masters of the Universe! Coming off the back of his success in Rocky IV, Dolph Lundgren dons the leather bondage gear of He-Man and poorly wields the Power Sword as he visits Earth, almost kills Courtney Cox's career and fights off a number of generic and cheap looking goons. We ponder what the hell was going through Frank Langella's mind when he signed up to play Skeletor in a performance that has no business being this good. All this and more in our latest foray into our childhood favourites!
-
In this week's expedition we visit with the beloved 1986 David Bowie/Jim Henson classic Labyrinth. Once we get beneath the surface we explore the film's choice to introduce kids to gaslighting, abusive relationships and David's Bowie's ahem.. goblin king! In amongst this we enjoy what was surely the zenith of Henson's creature creations. Join us, won't you?
-
In expedition 2 we venture boldly into the murky and confusing time that was our teenage years and talk Baz Luhrman's 1996 gritty Romeo + Juliet. We discuss the illegality of being as good looking as Leonardo DiCaprio was in this film, why the apothecary was responsible for everything and whether Shakespeare warrants a trigger warning!
-
The inaugral episode of The Throwback, the podcast where we revisit the films we loved when we were kids and find out if they hold up to the startling glare of our 2020 vision!
In our first expedition we revisit the 1985 Richard Donner classic The Goonies!
