Vaibhav Kumaresh is an animation film maker and is currently Founder, Director at Vaibhav Studios, Mumbai. Founded in 2003, the studio has created some of India’s favourite animated content in the field of TV commercials and channel promos: the Amaron Battery ad campaign, Chulbuli for Clinic Plus, Buladi’s AIDS awareness campaign for the West Bengal government, Sagar Cement campaign for the Andhra market, the Vodafone Zumis and Simpoo the angry Sardaar math teacher on Channel [V] to name a few. The studio is currently working on its maiden feature film titled Return of the Jungle. He studied Fine Arts in Mysuru and holds a post-grad Diploma in Animation from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. In this episode we discuss his journey, the state of the animation industry, education vs training within animation and advice for students who want to delve into this field.

C. Mohan is an Industrial Designer by profession, and a painter by hobby. A graduate of National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, he further studied Jewellery Manufacturing Arts at the Gemological Institute of America, in LA, USA. He is passionate about education and had been running his own 'unconventional' school in Coimbatore for seven years. He then moved to the Accessory design department of NIFT, Bengaluru where he was the Chairperson of the Accessory Design Program. Later he joined DJ Academy of Design.
He is currently a permanent faculty at Thazhal Institute of Design and Environment Studies (TIDES) & the Chairman of Acades Educational and Charitable trust.

Principal Faculty and Discipline Lead of Film & Video Communication Department at NID, Ahmedabad. Prof. Arun Gupta has taught various filmmaking courses (including Direction, Scriptwriting, Film Language and Film Appreciation) for more than two decades, at NID and elsewhere. He has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Film Direction from FTII, Pune and a BA in English Literature from the University of Delhi. He has had a long stint in Indian television before joining full-time teaching at NID. He has served as Jury in several International Film Festivals, runs a biennial Asian Short & Documentary Film Festival at NID called "Alpavirama" and has been writing a book on Hindi Film Villains.

P.M. Dalwadi graduated in Fine Arts (painting) from M.S. University, Baroda and stumbled into a student apprenticeship in Visual Communication at NID, Ahmedabad; Where he eventually worked as member of Educational Board, member of Management Board and head of Audio-Visual department. He directly worked under Henri Cartier-Bresson in India and then in Paris at the Magnum Photo Lab. In this episode, we discuss his journey of 45+ years within the design and photography.
