  • In this episode of This Indian Life, we talk about how cracking the IITs is the end all and be all, in most Indian homes. The prevalent belief is that if you are good in maths and science, then IIT is the ultimate benchmark, for you to prove yourself. It makes me laugh now but not when I was a student myself because I saw so many kids around me struggling to get into an IIT. It ends up defining the lives of so many students in India.

Kumar Ranjan, founder, eFeed, perfectly puts into focus how all these unrealistic expectations made him feel as a person, in his formative years.

What a brilliant story, about his comeback and the will to prove himself, in his own eyes.

Ranjan started eFeed, when he realised that the quality of feed given to the cattle, might not be upto the mark. It not only affects the health of the animals but also proves to be a loss for the farmers to have unwell cattle. Unhealthy feed also means unhealthy milk and other dairy products. Ranjan's dream is to remove the problem of toxins in our dairy and give Indians a healthy and toxins free dairy.

  • I am only getting a hang of it, lately, when my son asks me about my life. It feels kind of funny, ki ab hum pakka se bade ho gaye hain.

Anyways, we got talking about the value of money in our lives and how our relationship with money has changed over the years. Over to you......
