She is also founder of the internationally renowned Soulmate School, which instantly lit up my heart when we met. 😍 And she is known and beloved for her unique ability to energetically ‘see’ what women need to shift in order to build a life of deeply fulfilling and lasting love.
Join us for this episode as Liesel shares her beautiful wisdom and answers these questions...
❤️ What's the main purpose of relationships?❤️ What are some common relationship myths that cause us harm?
❤️ How do we best approach the inevitable triggers in relationships so they are a source of healing, rather than conflict?
❤️ What's a powerful question we can ask our partner when we see them triggered?
❤️ What is a "soulmate?"
❤️ How does not feeling good enough impact us in relationships?
❤️ Why is wholeness so important in our relationships?
❤️ How is our relationship with ourselves mirrored in our relationship with others?
❤️ How do we become energetically magnetic to our potential or current partner?
❤️ & lots more!
For the past 15 years, Liesel has helped women from all walks of life (CEO's, therapists, homemakers, lawyers, life coaches, healers, divorced moms, elders and more) from all over the world fall in love with themselves, clear their energetic blocks to divine partnership, and create lasting love. This episode of the Thriving Relationships Show will be like medicine for anyone who finds themselves continually asking themselves things like...
I love them, but am I "in love" with them?
Am I attracted to my partner enough?
Do I love my partner enough?
Is there someone better out there for me?
Are we too incompatible?
Are they the right one for me?
Am I settling?
What if we're not meant to be?
Of course, all of these questions can be completely valid ones.
For others of you, however, these questions will primarily be symptoms of...
...relationship anxiety.
Wondering what "relationship anxiety" is, whether or not you have it, and what to do with it if you do?
This episode will be perfect for you, and I had the absolute delight of sitting down to interview Sarah Yudkin.
Sarah is a Relationship Anxiety Coach whose mission is to help you feel confident to go all-in on your loving, healthy relationship. After feeling anxious in her own relationship for years and finally going on a quest to understand why that was, she now feels more confident and fulfilled in her relationship than ever before.
She has supported hundreds of thousands of people on their journey to heal relationship anxiety.
May it serve you deeply!

Over 18 years ago, I was a substitute teacher, and I found a relationship book on the teacher’s desk in the classroom I was in for the day. While the students focused on their work, I started reading it and was instantly enamored. I went home that night and ordered my own copy, realizing there was so much more to understand about relationships than I ever imagined.
It was the first book on relationships I had ever read, and even people who aren't necessarily into personal development have likely heard of this one particular book: Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by Dr. John Gray.
In fact, USA Today listed it as one of the top 10 most influential books of the last quarter-century and, in hardcover, it was the #1 best-selling book of the 1990s. It has been translated into approximately 45 languages and sold in more than 100 countries. Still today, it continues to be a bestseller.
Dr. Gray has appeared repeatedly on Oprah, as well as on The Dr. Oz Show, TODAY, CBS This Morning, Good Morning America, and others. He has been profiled in Time, Forbes, USA Today, and People. He was also the subject of a three-hour special hosted by Barbara Walters. Dr. Gray has now written over 20 books, including his most recent: Beyond Mars and Venus: Relationship Skills for Our Complex Modern World.
His passion is helping men and women understand one another better, and we dive into just that in this insight-filled conversation.
Some of what we cover...
- How how John Gray went from a celibate monk to being a best selling author on relationships
- What causes a breakdown in communication
- The role of male and female hormones in creating a harmonious sexual relationship
- How good communication can bring out the best in your partner
- Learn how Dr. John structures his therapy sessions very differently for men vs. women
- The unique needs of men and women in love and why selfishness is sometimes good
- Steps to shift from being in a power struggle to being connected and open
- How biology helps sustain love and grow it over a lifetime
- Strategies to get more of what you want in your relationship
- Learn what a Thriving Relationship means to Dr. John Gray

This episode is so important for women -- and for those who love them.
I had the absolute honor and delight of sitting down with the famously beloved Regena Thomashauer, endearingly known as “Mama Gena” and celebrated as an icon, legend, media personality, and revolutionary – and the vivacious author of the NY Times Bestseller called Pussy: A Reclamation.
If you are (or care about) a woman who has ever…
…felt shame about your body or sexuality,
…dimmed your power or light,
…and/or denied, ignored, dismissed, or overrode your own pleasure and desires because you didn’t think they were important…
…oh my goooodness, you are in for such a treat this episode.
Mama Gena’s mission is all about helping women reclaim what it means to be fully expressed and embodied. She believes that women are the greatest untapped natural resource on the planet, and she has taught countless women to turn on their innate feminine power to create a life they love.
Regena’s approach stems from decades of research in the social, cultural, and economic history of women, and she has been recognized widely as a leading expert in modern feminism. She has been featured on Elle, Glamour magazine, Newsweek, TEDx, 2020, and countless other media outlets.
In her classroom and through her books, she shifts the way women hold their sexuality and identities, both individually and culturally. On her website it reads: “She creates communities of women who are so outrageously and wildly expressed that they are loving the world back to itself.” Big yes to that!
After hearing the buzz and excitement about this book a few years ago, Bret I got the audio version and listened to it together on a long road trip. We both enthusiastically recommend it and have since shared it with countless clients and friends.
May you – and anyone you love – be served and inspired by this juicy episode and by getting a glimpse into what it looks like to reclaim what it means to be a woman – and to be fully turned on from being alive.

Danielle LaPorte has a new book out with a title that makes my heart swoon… “How to Be Loving: when your heart is breaking open and the world is waking up”
In this inspiring interview, we talk about what to do with the inevitable fears that arise in relationships, why forgiveness is so essential, the brilliant intelligence of the heart, a reminder of just how vast our capacity for love truly is, what "un-selfing is" and why it matters, the power of loving kindness, how to be loving when we don't feel like it, her own story of falling in love while writing the book, and so much more.

If you are into personal growth, you may be wondering what all the buzz is about the nervous system these days.
It's for good reason and is a personal passion of ours and woven deeply into the work we do with couples, especially when it comes to helping partners develop secure attachment with one another.
Today, we are so excited to invite you to join expert Sarah Baldwin, training staff at the Polyvagal Institute, to receive revelatory insights into your own nervous system, and learn how regulating it can bring about profound shifts in your ability to relate to yourself, others, and the world.
This particular podcast episode is a bit more like a mini-training, rather than simply an interview, because Sarah is just so gifted as a trainer and is a beloved shining star in the world of understanding polyvagal theory and the nervous system. I adore how clearly and compassionately she explains things and how she speaks openly of her own harrowing journey of an entire childhood filled with abuse and neglect and the impact it had on her -- and her way out of trauma and into healing.
There are two things I continually hear Sarah say in the work she does:
- "You make sense."
- "If my nervous system can do it, so can yours."
So beautiful.
Below are the timestamps to see all of the goodness we cover....
2:15 - How Sarah's complex childhood trauma inspired her work in somatic healing
4:30 - Why going to talk therapy for complex trauma is like going to the ophthalmologist for a hip injury
6:30 - How to discharge traumatic energy from our bodies
11:15 - A good place to begin your healing journey
13:00 - Dysregulation and learning how to drive the vehicle that is your body
18:25 - How our very own "Special Ops Team" keeps us safe
38:27 - You make sense, and you are not alone
40:30 - Words of wisdom for when we see our partner in a dysregulated state
44:55 - How our childhood creates the blueprint for our adult relationships and how to see your partner differently in challenging times
53:55 - Helpful ideas to regulate and come to the safety of the present moment, and the role of Bob Ross and Mr. Rogers in Sarah’s life
1:02:48 - What having a thriving relationship means to Sarah Sarah has a huge heart, a deeply empathetic and grounded presence, and is an inspiration for countless people longing to find their way out of pain and towards the love, inner freedom, peace, and connection we all long to feel.
😍 Who is Sarah Baldwin?
Sarah Baldwin is a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and Trauma Coach who is trained in Polyvagal interventions and is on the training team at the Polyvagal Institute.
