  • Overcoming Lust in the Power of Jesus' Name • Sunday Service

    Website: www.PastorTodd.org

In today's world, lust is pervasive and persistent, infiltrating our lives through various mediums. The Bible warns us of the dangers of lust and provides us with the tools to overcome it. As Christians, we are called to live holy lives, free from the chains of lust. Today, we will explore why lust is so pervasive and how we can overcome it through the power of Jesus' name.

    1. Lust in the Present Age:1 John 2:16 (NKJV):"For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world."

    2. The Consequences of Lust:James 1:14-15 (NKJV):"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death."

    3. The Call to Holiness:1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 (NKJV):"For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God."

    4. The Power of the Holy Spirit:Galatians 5:16-17 (NKJV):"I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."

    5. Renewing the Mind:Romans 12:2 (NKJV):"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."

    6. Guarding the Heart:Proverbs 4:23 (NKJV):"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life."

    7. Fleeing Temptation:2 Timothy 2:22 (NKJV):"Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart."

    8. Setting Our Minds on Heavenly Things:Colossians 3:2-5 (NKJV):"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God... Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry."

    9. God's Faithfulness in Providing a Way Out:1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV):"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it."

    10. Living by the Spirit:Romans 8:12-13 (NKJV):"Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live."

  • Take It by Force • Friday Service

    Website: www.PastorTodd.org

    To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give

Today, we delve into a powerful message about spiritual warfare and the urgency for Christians to stand firm against the forces of evil in our world. Our foundational scripture comes from Matthew 11:12:

"And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." - Matthew 11:12 (NKJV)

    1. Ephesians 6:12"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

    2. 1 Peter 5:8-9"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world."

    3. 2 Corinthians 10:4-5"For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ."

    4. James 4:7"Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."

    5. Romans 12:21"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

    6. 1 Timothy 6:12“ Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses."

    7. Joshua 1:9"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

    8. Psalm 144:1"Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle."

    9. Isaiah 54:17"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD."

    10. Revelation 12:11“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death."

    11. Matthew 16:18"And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it."

    12. Romans 8:37-39"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

    13. Colossians 2:15"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it."

    14. Hebrews 12:1-2"Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

The concept of the seven deadly sins is rooted in early Christian teachings and has been a significant topic in the moral and spiritual discourse of the church. These sins are considered "deadly" because they lead to further immorality and separate us from God's grace. Today, we will explore each of these sins with scriptural references from the New King James Version (NKJV).

    1. Pride"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." - Proverbs 16:18

    2. Envy"A sound heart is life to the body, but envy is rottenness to the bones." - Proverbs 14:30

    3. Wrath"For the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God." - James 1:20

    4. Sloth"The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich." - Proverbs 13:4

    5. Greed"For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." - 1 Timothy 6:10

    6. Gluttony"Do not mix with winebibbers, or with gluttonous eaters of meat; for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and drowsiness will clothe a man with rags." - Proverbs 23:20-21

    7. Lust"But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." - Matthew 5:28

  • 10 Attributes of a Spirit Filled Christian • Friday Service

    Website: www.PastorTodd.org

    To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give

Today, we will explore what it means to be a Spirit-filled Christian. We will delve into the scriptures that describe the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and how this empowers us to live a life that glorifies God. The Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives is transformative, enabling us to fulfill God's purposes. Let’s examine ten key scriptures from the New King James Version (NKJV) that illustrate this profound truth.

    1. **John 14:16-17**"And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you."

    2. **Romans 8:9**"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His."

    3. **1 Corinthians 6:19-20**"Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

    4. **Ephesians 1:13-14**"In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory."

    5. **Galatians 5:22-23**"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law."

    6. **Acts 1:8**"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

    7. **Romans 8:26-27**"Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

    8. **1 Corinthians 12:7-11**"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills."

    9. **2 Corinthians 3:17-18**"Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."

    10. **Titus 3:5-6**"Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior."

  • Discovering God's Purpose for Our Lives • Sunday Service

    To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give

    Website: www.PastorTodd.org

Brothers and sisters in Christ, one of the most profound questions we grapple with in life is understanding our purpose. What is God's plan for us? How do we discern it? Today, we will explore ten ways to know our purpose, grounded in Scripture. Let us seek His wisdom and guidance as we delve into His Word.

    1. Seek God Through Prayer

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know."* (Jeremiah 33:3, NKJV)

    2. Study the Bible Regularly

“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path."* (Psalm 119:105, NKJV)

    3. Listen to the Holy Spirit

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come."* (John 16:13, NKJV)

    4. Look for Open Doors

“For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries."* (1 Corinthians 16:9, NKJV)

    5. Use Your God-Given Talents

“As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."* (1 Peter 4:10, NKJV)

    6. Follow Godly Counsel

“Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety."* (Proverbs 11:14, NKJV)

    7. Pursue Righteousness

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."* (Matthew 6:33, NKJV)

    8. Observe Your Burdens and Passions

"For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure."* (Philippians 2:13, NKJV)

    9. Be Patient and Wait on the Lord

“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."* (Isaiah 40:31, NKJV)

    10. Embrace Your Unique Journey

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."* (Jeremiah 29:11, NKJV)

Finding our purpose is a journey of faith, trust, and obedience to God. By seeking Him earnestly and living according to His Word, we align ourselves with His divine plan. Let us commit ourselves to these principles, trusting that God will faithfully reveal His purpose in His perfect time. Amen.
