She discusses her gender affirmation surgery and the process involved to get approved and scheduled, including the WPATH Standards of Care, which are a set of rules that providers should follow when treating transgender patients. She also talks about the viewing party she held to show off her new vagina, what it means to truly love the body you're in, and whether or not it really matters what's between your legs.

  • Join host Lindsey Deaton this week and she sits down with Brody Fitzpatrick. Brody is an actor, singer, and retired firefighter from New York, but currently residing in Los Angeles. They discuss his childhood growing up in the Bronx, his experiences fighting against gender inequality in the NYC fire department, as well as working as a firefighter during the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center. They also discuss his experiences coming out, choosing a new name, the procedures that transgender men may or may not decide to go through, and the importance of learning to love yourself through all of the bumps and triumphs.
