Wyrmwood Apocalypse is a brainless zombie horror from 2021 that features most of the same characters as the original Wyrmwood film.
Set in the near future, this dystopian terror, is different than other films in this genre as of late due to the fact that it uses mostly practical effects for the savage amusement of the fans. Even though many of the original fans were critical of this hack and slash due to them lessening the slapstick element it still manages to entertain. The films main character is a paid for hire mercenary who hunts outlaws, zombies and hybrids. He is forced to make a difficult choice as his employer is doing experiments on hybrid zombies and humans to further their agenda.
Starring Luke McKenzie as Rhys, Nicholas Boshier as the Surgeon General, Shantae Barnes-Cowan as Maxi, Bianca Bradey as Brooke and Tasia Aziar as Grace. This film is the brainchild of Kiah Roache-Turner. -

The Neon Demon is a psychological horror film produced from the mind of Nicolas Refn and those living the high life in California. Amazon picked up the film as one of it's premiere features in 2016. Rated R for swearing, nudity, violence, and adult subjects.
The story features a young aspiring 16 year old new to Los Angeles and new to the modeling scene. She is instantly successful with everyone she meets. Climbing the ladder quickly, everyone around her sees her as some unique flower ready to be picked. However her innocence and newness produces jealousy and drama as some dark secrets of the other career girls seek to get what she has through cruel and gruesome ways.
Directed by Nicolas Refn, written by Nicolas Refn and Mary Laws. Starring Elle Fanning as Jesse, Christina Hendricks as Roberta, Keanu Reeves as Hank, Karl Glusman as Dean, Jena Molone as Ruby and Belle Heathcote as Gigi. -

Danny Greene is a legend in his time, as he was prominent in his Irish community as the one who took on the mafia in Cleveland during the 60's and 70's. Cleveland was dubbed as 'Bomb City USA' during the bombings of 1976 and Danny was right in the thick of it.
Kill the Irishman is a based on the true story of his life and dealings with the Mafia. The story starts with his clash with his union boss, and then moving onto bigger fish by starting the Irish Mafia in Cleveland. He was a true force to be reckoned with. This film is not a documentary but a portrayal of how it really happened. He certainly had the luck of the Irish on his side as the mob tried to kill him many times.

Art School Confidential is a 2006 parody film of college life as a student. The film is filled with plenty of nonsense, pretentious behaviour, backstabbing and a side of murder mystery. Based on the partially true events of a graphic novelists journey through art school and also part fiction. Trashed by critics, will this film be revived or is it simply destined for the waste bin.

An FBI agent and a local LA cop team up to hunt down a bizarre criminal that has killed, stolen and has been on a terror spree. Little does the local cop know, but he is in for a wild ride that involves a extra terrestrial mystery. The both keep following a string of murders from seemingly random people but eventually realize they are actually after an alien symbiote who has enjoyed their life on earth a little too much.

Doggy Bank is mini-series based on a novel by legendary Brazilian novelist Machado de Assis who passed away 100 years ago with little notice outside his country. The series follows the story of a broke and dimwitted slacker who is hired by a mad philosopher to babysit his pampered pooch. What follows is a satirical exploration of wealth and loyalty, but with a few more belly laughs. With humor, Corrêa explores layered international and thought-provoking stories using Brazilian culture as a vehicle to navigate U.S. settings.

Joaquin Phoenix (prounced wah-keen) stars in this 2023 surrealist art film called Beau is Afraid, where ever irrational fear seems to come to life partially fueled on by his mother and partially by his inability to have sex.
Beau is a middle aged man who never could live up to this mothers expectations and as a result lives his life in constant fear. He lives in a terrifying neighbourhood and is hell bent on attending his mothers funeral, but a series of tragedies unfold that prevent him making it on time.

The Million Dollar Hotel is a 2000 art film that follows a FBI agent investigating the suspected murder of a resident who supposedly committed suicide. The prime and bizarre suspect is also a prostitute and the main character has a learning disability who may also be in on it. The thing is most of the others who live in this permanent residence hotel are also a bit insane, but smart enough to hatch schemes of their own.
Starring Mel Gibson, Milla Jovovich, and Jeremy Davies. The film is directed by Win Wenders and is the joint production of Bono, Mel Gibson and screenwriters Nicholas Klein with Bono. Mel Gibson quoted early on that this "film was as boring as a dog's ass", but later retracted that statement. -

Grave of the Fireflies is a 1988 dramatic anime set during the events of World War Two Japan. In this episode we brought on our special guest Tyler who is fluent in Japanese culture and language. This film is available in Japanese and two seperate English dubs. Setsuko a young girl and her older brother Saiti find themselves parentless after a US bomber drops incendiary bombs on their city of Kobe. After briefly staying with their aunt, they are unable to cope with the set forth rules, and decide to go out on their own. A film set apart from others at the time does not sugar coat the realities of war.
The film is directed by Isao Takahata and written by Akiyuki Nosaka and Isao Takahata which is based on his short story. Starring Tsutomu Tatsumi, Ayano Shiraishi, and Akemi Yamaghuchi. -

Idiocracy is a 2006 comedy/sci-fi film set on future earth. In present day a very average US Army soldier with no family or friends decides to freeze himself as a part of a military experiment. The project goes south and Joe finds himself waking up 500 years in the future. Things couldn't be worse as society lives on top of a garbage pile, and society has bred generations of stupid people. It turns out Joe is now the smartest man on earth, and must solve an issue that threatens humanity.
